Dr. Jay Sulek was born in Hagerstown, MD, and completed his B.A. in English at Yale University. He attended the University of Maryland School of Medicine, in Baltimore, for his Medical Degree and began his general surgery internship at the Virginia Commonwealth University. Dr. Sulek continued at VCU to finish his urology residency where he received the Resident Achievement Award from the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons. He completed his Fellowship in Minimally Invasive Urology at the Indiana University Medical Center the summer of 2018 and joined Urology Associates, P.C., in August of 2018.Dr. Sulek has been involved in over 10 publications and abstracts, and received the Top In-Service Award in 2016.

Born in Nashville and raised nearby just outside Owensboro, KY, I have always planned to be a physician. I attended college at Transylvania University in Lexington, KY graduating Magna Cum Laude with a degree in biology. I was accepted early at the University of Louisville School of Medicine and received honors in surgical and urology-related rotations. I was then accepted into residency at Indiana University Department of Urology, internationally known for treatment of stone disease and urological oncology. Following completion of residency, I decided to return south and joined Urology Associates in Nashville where I plan to continue to grow a thriving practice in urology.

Our practice believes in patient-centric care. We provide comprehensive and compassionate urological care to men and women. We work together with the patient and their families, with the goal of achieving their maximum health and wellness.

Being an Obstetrician-gynecologist, I hold the unique position and distinct privilege to know women and their families well, to share with them moments of pure joy, true loss, and everything in between. As a mother of two, I am fortunate enough to have experienced the patient side of obstetrics and gynecology myself. In each scenario, I aim to create an accepting atmosphere with open communication in which we can develop a trusting relationship. My goal with every patient is to listen completely to the patient's goals and concerns and use these as a basis for having honest discussions so that we may arrive at an evidence-based plan that is tailored exactly to each woman.
