Throughout his residency, Dr. Boccaccio received the Resident Teaching Award four consecutive years in a row, won Best Quality Improvement Award, earned his certification on the da Vinci robotic surgical system, and published articles in various peer-reviewed journals. During his final year of training he was named Outstanding MIS Resident and was honored with the Resident Achievement Award from the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons.
