Dr. Raza Askari is a board certified Interventional Cardiologist at Heart and Vascular Specialists of North Texas. Dr. Askari is very skilled at performing successful peripheral interventions, complex high-risk coronary interventions, cardiogenic shock and catheter based pulmonary embolism therapy.Dr. Askari received his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from King Edward Medical College in Lahore, Pakistan, and then went on to complete his internship at Aga Khan University Hospital in Karachi, Pakistan. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center at Memphis, followed by his Cardiovascular Diseases and Interventional Cardiology fellowships.Dr. Askari is a member of the American Society of Echocardiography and a member of the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology. Outside of work he enjoys traveling with his family, running and biking.

Dr. Aiswarya Sundaram is a board certified Interventional Cardiologist at Heart and Vascular Specialists of North Texas. Dr. Sundaram is very skilled at performing successful Diagnostic Coronary Angiograms and Coronary Interventions and Aortocoronary Bypass Graft Interventions through Radial and Femoral approach without on-site surgical backup, Optical Coherence Tomography, Fractional Flow Reserve (FFR), 2D and 3D Transthoracic and Transesophageal Echocardiogram. Dr. Sundaram received her medical degree from Madras Medical College and Research Institute in Chennai, India. She completed her Internal Medicine residency and her Cardiovascular Disease fellowship at East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, Tennessee. She completed her Interventional Cardiology fellowship at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester, Massachusetts. Dr. Sundaram is a member of the American College of Cardiology. Outside of work she enjoys swimming, music, and traveling.
