She is a prolific writer and lecturer on this issue and has contributed pieces to The Washington Post, Scientific American, CNN, USA Today, The Hill, Newsweek, and The Baltimore Sun. She is on the Board for Virginia Clinicians for Climate Action, is a trained Climate Reality Leader, and is a co-founder of Surgeons for a Sustainable Future.
