Under her direction, she has created a regional center providing an individualized approach to the diagnosis, genetic testing, advanced cardiac imaging and medical/surgical management of patients with HCM. Each patient is reviewed by a multidisciplinary team of physicians and treatment plans are designed with patient input, using a shared decision making model. The HCM Center offers comprehensive HCM treatments including: medical therapy, defibrillator implantation, alcohol septal ablation and surgical septal myectomy. The HCM Center is also one of the first centers in the PNW to offer the recently FDA-approved novel HCM medication mavacamten (Camzyos®) through a comprehensive drug safety program. She also serves as a principal investigator for ongoing HCM clinical trials. _x000D_ Dr. Harper has authored and published multiple peer reviewed articles and book chapters in a wide range of topics in cardiology. She has been an invited speaker at both national and regional meetings on topics including hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, hyperlipidemia, and preventive cardiology. Following her passion for patient education and cardiovascular disease prevention, she is also one of the course directors for the ``Food Is Medicine`` continuing medical education lecture series at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health.
