I had an appointment with Birmingham Gastroenterology Associates on May 13th where I saw a Nurse Practitioner about my current issues. One of the current symptoms I currently have is chest pains which were expressed during my visit. After discussing the current issues I am experiencing with the Nurse Practitioner it was recommended to schedule an endoscopy which was scheduled for the following week. I took off of work to have the endoscopy procedure completed and arrived as scheduled. I started completing my paperwork and the first symptoms shown on my paperwork was chest pain as I discussed during my appointment. I proceeded to the back to put on my gown and all related electrodes for my procedure only to be told they could not do this due to my related symptoms. I told them that I was not currently experiencing any chest pains but they told me I would have to have a stress test prior to having this procedure done. Needless to say I wasted a day from work and no closer to figuring out

Almost gave them a 2. The doctors I’ve seen were good but the staff is just awful!! Everyone from reception to nurses to appointment schedulers are so unfriendly and rude. Very hard to get to speak to someone, they say they will have someone call back and they don’t. The staff really makes them look bad. I would clean house and start over!
