Swope Medical Group Inc

I took my son to the ER and later received a bill from Swope for physician services. There was a difference between the bill from Swope and the amount owed listed on my EOB. After multiple discussions with my insurance company, with Swope on the phone admitting that I did not owe the amount owed, they continued to send a bill every month. No matter how many times I called them, their excuse was always the same, that there was a billing systems issue and my bill would be removed. Needless to say, they did not remove the bill and I am still struggling to dispute a bill that I do not owe. Their customer service reps are completely incompetent and cannot, or choose not to, do their jobs. In my opinion they know that I do not owe their bill and choose to simply ignore my calls so that a collection agency can hound me instead. Never use Swope.

I was a patient in the ER at SNMH. Received good care. The hospital accepted my insurance. I received a $1,000 bill from the physician group. When I questioned the bill was told they did not contract with UnitedHealthcare even though it is Medicare. There were no notifications of this until after I received the bill, 2 months after my ER visit. I will not go back, if necessary will go to Sutter ER.

This company is a nightmare to deal with. Every customer service representative is so rude and uncaring. Avoid at all costs.
