Ocean Medical Family & Urgnt Care

The old reliable Ocean Medical is gone. It was sold. What's there now is something that just does not belong in Redondo Beach or anywhere else. My sister visited Ocean Medical yesterday (we're native to Redondo Beach and have often gone to O Med). She wanted a referral to a counselor as she had recently lost hers to retirement, and she needed to talk to someone about a family crisis. The "doctor" (?) there was unfamiliar. We learned that the Ocean Medical we all appreciated in the past is not the establishment that is running there now -- it was sold and taken over by very questionable people. This morning I helped my sister check with insurance, and the woman who dealt with my sister yesterday did everything she could to run up a huge insurance bill. For instance, my sister had a full blood test less than eight weeks ago at her regular doctor's office with no unusual results yet the new Ocean Medical gave her another one.
