I don’t know what is going on with this place but they are very gung ho on surgery. One Dr operated on my toe; podiatrist later told me what he did was not good. Another Dr wanted to operate on my shoulder for a frozen shoulder; I got a second opinion at HSS and was told no surgery. Had cortisone and PT and I’m better than I was before frozen shoulder. Broke foot, had surgery. Showed xray to another doc and he said I didn’t need surgery, and surgeon was not a foot guy (there is another in the practice but he was not consulted). Just broke hand; Dr was a no-show for Fri Telemed appt. Called me next business day (which was Mon) at 4:45; said secretary would call me shortly to set up appt for that week, Tue or Thu; she didn’t call until the following Monday. (Already found a new doc). Beautiful facility, but if they recommend surgery, get a second opinion! Or better yet, go someplace else.
