My son started attending when he was 10. He received his diagnosis for Autism Spectrum Disorder in 12/2020. After that, we fell through the cracks. Children age out at 11 at this facility. I was initially told they would continue to work with him until 12. The psychologist was positive that 1 yr with him would be beneficial. I awaited the call for his therapy to begin. It never came. After multiple attempts the psychologist finally returned my call 2 mos later to say they wouldn’t let him work with us because of my son’s age. He recommended another therapist They were not taking new patients and neither were the 3 other places I called. As a mother I felt helpless, like they said, “Here you go. Your son has autism but there’s nothing we can do. Good luck out there!” We had no follow-up visits with anyone. No one to even point us in the right direction. Over a year later and we are still in limbo. I reached out once more for help. Never heard back. I am so disappointed.
