Taylor and Sullivan Plastic Surgery

I went in for a breast reduction consultation with Dr. Sullivan. Right off the bat, he said that by looking at me (clothed, DDD chest), he didn't think insurance would approve my surgery. He was thorough in talking to me and answering questions, however, he didn't even consider going to bat for me with insurance. Instead, his office assistant handed me a $14,000 breast lift estimate. He also said that even if I were to get prior authorization, the insurance company could revoke the approval and I'd have to pay. Months later, I went to a consultation with a different center. This doctor said he was shocked a doctor would shoot down any chance of insurance approval, and his experienced patient care coordinator told me that she had never heard of an insurance company revoking authorization. He told me my insurance was medium-difficult for approval (Tufts), and two weeks later I was approved! It seems like Taylor and Sullivan does amazing work, but caters to a wealthier clientele.
