Saved my life!
New years eve eve,12/30/94.I was in a near fatal auto accident and was taken here.The seatbelt split my liver in half and severed the artery going in on the left side. In er they thought I was just bruised from seat belt till right before they sent me home they different a three step blood pressure test. Lying/sitting/standing. The first two were fine but as soon as I stood up it dropped suddenly.The surgeons group st the time realized the seatbelt had split my liver and severed the artery on the left side.They clamped off the artery,they left the internal bleeding to cushion the liver.Then let it grow back together naturally. Before I left the hospital they said my liver should last about 15 years with out problems .Its coming up on thirty years Dec 2024.I'm glad I was taken there.
