Very Rude and not helpful
We visited Dr. Tanja three times. The first time, she was concerned and helpful. The second time, she was running late, took very little time, and seemed annoyed that we kept asking questions. Our third visit was to go over tests; however the appointment was cancelled about one hour prior to our appointment. The medical assistant said that Dr. Tanja was still seeing patients that day but could not see us. After going back and forth, they agreed to an appointment two hours later. We have never been in a situation with a doctor that was so rude--- she never acknowledged the patient and no communication with him to see how he was doing. She provided us with no helpful information about the patient’s situation or what recent tests indicated. Immediately after she entered the room, she notified us that she would no longer see the patient, which was fine with us as we had no intention of going back to her. We would not recommend this doctor.

When I scheduled a telehealth appointment in September the receptionist failed to inform me that there would be a copay. 10 minutes before the appointment she called to get the payment. When I wasn’t able to pay it, she cancelled the appointment. 10 minutes later she called back to say I was being charged a late cancellation penalty fee. I didn’t cancel the appointment the clinic did. My next appointment had to be cancelled because the receptionist said I didn’t have a referral then changed that several days later to say I did, but it wasn’t filled out correctly. When I finally got to an appointment on Jan. 16 she intimidated me into paying that penalty fee because I believed she would have cancelled this appointment midstream if I didn’t. No matter how good a doctor is, if the front office people are incompetent bullies, it becomes a no-go for me. I won’t be back.

ON 12-13-24 (inclement weather day), I was 15 minutes late bringing my sister to her appointment due to an accident on Central Expressway. While I was parking, I received a call from a young lady who was unprofessional. She used uh-uh instead of yes/no and said we had to reschedule while I was already there. I asked if we could wait to see if someone will cancel and she said that we would just have to reschedule and that we will be charged $50 for canceling our appt. We did not cancel our appt. She cancelled it. I believe this is unfair practice and to be fair, at least give a patient warning for the first offense not to just charge a patient $50. She said her name was Anuy or Aney, don't know if she told the truth. I just felt her customer service skills should be addressed along with the $50 unfair cancellation fee. Thanks

I have been seeing Dr. Taneja for over 2 years now. She took the time to understand my condition and explain the situation and her course of action. She was thorough and followed up after the exams. Highly recommended her.

Dismissive and heartless
I first saw Dr. Taneja after being told by a neurologist to seek help from a movement specialist. I had a tremor, weakness and was forgetful. My first visit, she faced her computer the whole time, said she was short on time and barely examined me. She said “stop taking your medicine and see what happens”. I weaned off my medicine and worked with a psychiatrist to get on something new. My symptoms worsened quickly a few months later. I came back to see Dr. Taneja, and she told me “it was unfair of me to not see her for 9 months” and that she didn’t have time to hear all of my issues I came with today. She agreed to image me and I left crying due to her rudeness towards me. Over the weekend I had an episode where I lost my speech and was having severe tremors and spasms in my legs and taken my ambulance to a hospital. I was asked to follow up with her immediately after being given a med for MS to help with leg tremors. She said I wasn’t trying hard enough and that I was depressed.

Not what I expected from this provider
Went to see her for a second opinion. Unfortunately, no insurance so we paid cash. Took her over an hour to finally evaluate my younger brother. The entire time she was more focused on charting on her computer. Not empathetic at all when she gave us the diagnosis of Parkinson's. As a provider myself, this is not how I would treat my patients.

Highly recommend Dr Taneja
I have a less common neurological condition but Dr Taneja accurately diagnosed it and knew immediately what medication to use to treat it. She listens well and is attentive to detail. I never feel rushed at my appointments. She explains everything thoroughly. She has been able to help me live much more actively and I appreciate her care.

Best MDS in the DFW area
Dr.Taneja, is a great doctor who evaluates to the root cause of the patient’s issues/problems. She is a great listener and takes her time specific to the case to come up with an optimal treatment plan. She is a no non sense doctor who is a straight shooter and keeps you upto date. She takes extreme care in answering questions regarding any latest clinical trails/advancements with regards to Parkinson’s . I highly recommend her practice.

Gold Standard
I've been treated for cervical dystonia since 2004 and by some of the best neurologists from coast to coast. Dr. Taneja is the best by far. I've had no side effects, and the dystonia abates almost 100% between treatments. Highly recommend.

No Eval
Sent to 3 day eval. On return no eval. Claimed I had high blood pressure. Never, needed brain exercises and diet. Last paragraph started addressing me as she. Looked like cut and paste, Went back for eval of Parkinson or dementia. Said she couldn't help needed psychiatric help. Asked why my eye was twitching and teeth grinding. Left room dismissed me from end of hall. No explanation of eval or reason for psychiatrist.

Disappointed
My Husband has Parkinson's Disease which is the reason we were in search of a MDS doctor. We waited two months drove over two hours to see Dr Taneja. When we arrived we were told we did not have an appointment however the doctor agreed to see us. I would like to note that I was a Physician Manager and Administrator for over twenty years. With that said, the doctor presented very irritated and unprofessional. She did not give my husband time to respond to her questions and bluntly asked "What are you here for" at which time I politely told her that we had wasted our time and we left her office. The practice is not one that I would recommend!

As I started looking for a neurologist it was becoming apparent that it was going to be months before I could get my dad in to see anyone. I came across Dr. Taneja and read the reviews. Her reviews were positive so I decided to call. She was able to see us in two weeks. She is very thorough and will not stop working until she finds what helps you. Her office staff goes above and beyond and is wonderful to work with, too. We had a question while Dr. Taneja was in India and her office staff called her in India to answer our question and promptly called us back with Dr. Taneja's answer. I am so glad we found Dr. Taneja.

I was looking for a good doctor when I read about neurologist Dr Aanchal Taneja online. During my visit to Dallas, I had my mom see Dr Aanchal Taneja . She listens very patiently and recommend what is best. She had changed some of my moms medicines which is really helping her condition to improve. She is a pleasant and soft spoken dr.

Dr. Taneja and her staff (especially Izzy) have been absolutely wonderful to work with. My insurance sucks, and they really help me navigate my insurance and even work with my insurance to help me get what I need and fight for me! This is the first specialist that I have had to visit, and it's been an awesome experience! Dr. Taneja diagnosed me right at my first visit, provided me with a couple of different options and then followed up, as well. We are changing courses now, and she was very amicable to changing courses since the new medication was not working for me.

Mixed feelings upon first visit, came across as indifferent and distant. Second visit was much better. The recommendations for decreasing prescription dosage seemed to be working and Dr. Taneja seemed more engaging and personable. She offered other medication options but also listened and did not pressure the changes. She was helpful to maintain current dosages and kept open the ability to contact her if anything needs to be changed.
