Dr. Aaron Amacher, MD

In December of 2024, Dr. Amacher performed cataract surgery on both eyes implanting mono visions lenses. After all my followup appointments, I couldn't be any happier. I have 2020 vision in both eyes. Thanks you for my cleared vision!

In January, 2022, Dr. Amacher performed cataract laser surgery on both eyes. I paid extra for "bladeless laser cataract surgery" because his office, Barnett, Delaney, Perkins Eye Center's (BDPEC), described this surgical procedure as resulting in better outcomes. While the result was clearer long-distance vision, I have experienced constant "floaters" and suffered with constant dry eyes that eye drops minimally help. Repeated follow-up appointments were made with the Center's optometrists (BDPEC WOULD NOT ALLOW ME TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT WITH AMACHER--he gave no post-operative care). At no time was I able to make an appointment with Amacher. After researching cataract surgeons, I chose BDPEC because Amacher worked there. From the beginning, the center would ONLY allow appointments with their optometrists. Amacher saw me for a 5-minute pre-op visit and during the surgeries. YAG laser treatments were diagnosed within weeks of the surgeries and did not help with the dry eyes or floaters.

Was fast, questions answered, perfect

I had a retinal detachment last year at age 55 and now I needed cataract surgery. I was scared and confused because I haven’t seen clearly for a year. Dr. Amacher was patient and met with me a second time to help me make the right decision for me. He explained my options clearly and answered all my questions. I will be having my surgery in a few days so I will write a review after that as well but I believe that I am in the best hands possible.

Dr. Amacher performed intra ocular lens replacement in both of my eyes. I researched many eye surgeons before selecting Dr. Amacher. His past experiences, education and training weighed heavily on my decision to place my eyes in his hands. The first step in the process is to have an exam with a BDP optometrist. I believe this gives the surgeons confidence that their surgical patients are seen by a consistent group of optometrists who will provide the surgeons with consistent pre- and post-op reports. This continuity of care was also important to me as it represents a true team approach. Dr. Amacher explained the procedure to me as well as the different lenses he uses. He explained the advantages and disadvantages of each lens so I could make an informed decision. The day of surgery was flawless and efficient. The entire team at the BDP surgical center was great. My experience with Dr. Amacher and the BDP surgical team has been excellent.

The staff and Dr Amacher were very professional. I will certainly recommend the Dr and staff to friends and family.

Dr. Amacher seemed to care about my medical needs; he looked over my tests that were performed earlier in my appointment. He explained how the procedure would go; asked if I had any questions; I did and he answered them to my satisfication.

Was disappointed at the amount. Mainly due to my insurance company leading me astray. Surgery canceled

He was easy to talk to and he did make me feel like he really cared I get the best outcome.

I met with Dr. Amacher on Tuesday who will be performing my cataract surgery. He was very pleasant and thorough. He explained what the procedure would entail. He also reviewed my file with me and several times asked if I had any questions which he explained in terms I could understand. I feel very comfortable having Dr Amacher perform my surgery and so should anyone else that goes to him.
