Dr. Aaron Andrade, MD

I have seen Dr. Andrade twice at the Novato Hospital in the past two years. He is fantastic. Super intelligent, caring. All the nurses and other staff “love him.” Easy to see why. Very professional in every way. Apparently he is fluent in Spanish, which is great for those patients. You can not do better.

I went to Novato community hospital, as I had to leave work due to health issues and this was the closest hospital. From the moment I walked in, each staff member was kind and really listened to me. I have significant medical trauma and PTSD from previous experiences (different hospital), so I was anxious and prepared for a fight from the get go. Dr. Andrade took the time to listen, repeat back, ask clarifying questions, and showed empathy and understanding. I felt safe, understood and believed. I was thoroughly evaluated, and Dr. Andrade was quick to treat my symptoms related to my illness. Not once did he accuse me of “drug seeking” or gaslight me, which I’ve experienced from other providers (different hospital) in the past. He saw and treated me as a human. That alone made a world of difference in helping heal the trauma I’ve experienced pertaining to ER rooms. Let me repeat, I felt heard and SAFE. I had a male nurse who equally treated me with dignity and respect. Thank you!!!

I was seen at the end of his shift and he just wanted to go home apparently. He wrote me off from the moment he saw me, and did not take the time to ask relevant and critical questions. My medical record was documented incorrectly (egregious errors) and by the time I realized it 10 minutes after I was discharged, he had already gone home. I was sent to the ER by my doctor, and I left in an even worse position and no closer to figuring out what was going on and getting my issue resolved. I will never go back to that ER and will take the extra time to drive to a different hospital, because our experience was so horrible. I would never recommend this doctor or the ER he works in.
