Dr. Becker is confident and a real great doctor.
Dr. Becker is knowledgeable, confident and friendly and he cares. He also listens and explains things well. In 2024 it is hard to find a doctor like this!Dr. Becker found my cancer, performed my surgery and was caring throughout. He makes sure I leave every appointment feeling confident that things will be great.I trust him and feel blessed that God put him on my path for this season of my life. Cancer is scary, but Dr. Becker allayed my worries and had me feeling like the final score will be Mike: 1 Cancer: 0.5 star out of 5 star for sure!

Go to someone else
If you want to be lied to and dismissed at every appointment this is your guy. First urology apparently sees no problem letting you go for 6 months not knowing you still have a 4mm stone after a lithotripsy despite telling you had none remaining at the initial follow up.Becker is extremely unprofessional and has no time for patients assuming he even meets you and doesn't send a nurse to speak for him.

I went to the ER after recurrent UTIs turned into a kidney infection. After the ER I was referred to First Urology. Dr.Becker performed kidney stone surgery after viewing an inconclusive CT scan from the ER. Kidney stones were never found (because my pain was likely from the infection). At my follow-up appointment, Dr.Becker was rude, dismissive of my still occurring UTI symptoms, and felt it was more important to tell me about himself than address any of my concerns. Would not recommend, find a different doctor. Left in tears.

Extremely rude and performed an unnecessary surger – Mar 02, 2021

Becker has one foot out the door the whole time he's talking to me. Clearly he'd rather be somewhere else. If it's kidneys he's your guy but anything else urological apparently he has no interest in it, at least he didn't with me.

I switched to Dr. Becker from another urologist at First Urology and was worried because of his negative ratings. He was very friendly and explained things to me about my condition and tests that the other Urologist never did. He seems to genuinely care about his patients. Great experience so far!

Dr. Becker lied to me so that I would consent to having a procedure. He told me that he would be the one to perform the surgery, that he wasn’t as young as he looked, and that he had performed thousands of these procedures. I found out later that a resident Urologist, Dr. Thomas "T.J." Michael Fitzgibbon, had been involved and that I had been injured by the procedure.

He has a very standoffish attitude with patients. You cannot get in touch with the office. I waited over 30 minutes for someone to answer the phone. I would not recommend anything about the doctor or the office.

My Husband was diagnosed with Protate Cancer. As a Travel Nurse assigned to Duke Hospital for 5 months, rather than wait to start treatment in the Fall, decision made to have cancer treated at Duke. Dr. Becker's office staff is extremely hard to reach. My Husband needs paperwork faxed to Duke. You receive options that require you to leave voicemail. Office needs to be more responsive.

I have been going to Dr. Becker since 2011. I have had nothing but good experiences. I have had several kidney stones/lithotripsy procedures. He took his time to figure out what was causing them and decided on a treatment plan that has significantly reduced my kidney stones. Like anything else, if you listen to your Dr. and follow the recommendations, your health will drastically improve. Dr. Becker has always been courteous and thorough. He does tell it how it is, which I like in a Dr.

I wish renal colic and kidney stones on this physician who apparently feels that kidney stones DO NOT cause pain unless they are obstructing urinary flow. He is rude and does not care about his patients.
