Very rude, aarogant and no compasion
My mother has been seeing Dr Ellenbogen for several years now. Recently my father, which was also his patient, died from dementia, was not interested in hearing what we were dealing with when we went for my mother's recent follow up appt. He was very rude and uncaring and pretty much said he couldn't discuss my father unless he had an appt. His appt was cancelled because he was then in the hospital on his death bed. He is also not interested in discussing any research or recommendations that you bring to him and doesn't like to be suggested anything. It's because of all my years of research that my mother is doing as well as she is with her parkinsons. After the last appt, we have decided to go elsewhere as we need someone that can treat us with respect, dignity and show some ounce of compassion. It's too bad as he is very knowledgeable in his field, just wish he would get his aarogance out of the way so he can be more helpful to patients that are suffering and going to him.

Rude & Arrogant
My fiancé has been a patient of Dr. Ellenbogen at the MIND clinic for several yrs. We have found dr E to be rude & arrogant, he doesn’t listen to our concerns, answer questions or explain test results. The staff and other drs at the Mind clinic have been all bern friendly, kind and helpful and my fiancé is still being treated by another dr at the clinic. Unfortunately we’re looking to find another dr to replace what Dr E treats him for. It’s too bad because he’s a knowledge dr but isn’t good with people. Would not recommend if you want a dr that treats you with kindness and respect.

Knowledgeable and Supportive
I have a complicated condition that previous doctors had difficulty diagnosing and treating. Dr. Ellenbogen together with Dr. Stoner at the MIND clinic was able to determine the causes and found an effective treatment. This required balancing numerous medications to so that they didn't conflict while still being effective. Dr. Ellenbogen carefully viewed and evaluated all the medications so that they had the fewest complications and best outcomes. When I had a sudden relapse of symptoms he responded to my note via the patient portal on the same day (6:300 PM) with precise advice to resolve the condition. Without Dr. Stoner and Dr. Ellenbogen I would still be in severe pain.

Excellent care!
I’ve been seeing Dr. Ellenbogen for over 8 years. I think he’s excellent. He’s very active in research and is always willing to answer all my questions to the best of his ability. I’ve never felt rushed or brushed off. If you are looking for someone interested in alternative methods you should move on, Dr. Ellenbogen focus is on fact based research and not some quack pot cure found on the internet.

Has Proven Himself Untrustworty
A practitioner's conclusions regarding the patient's abnormal function/condition should be based on proper assessments. Dr. Ellenbogen's opinions were not. Find someone else.

So far, Dr. Ellenbogan hasn't been much help. All he seems interested in is prescribing medications. When I asked about alternatives that I'd read about on the Mayo Clinic website, he didn't seem to know what they were, then brushed them off with a wave of his hand and said they were "hit or miss." Yet nothing HE'S done has helped. In addition, the office staff is EXTREMELY rude and disorganized. They cut you off when you're speaking, hand you forms dismissively, and snap at you when you ask questions. They don't even look you in the eye when speaking to you.

What a horrible experience! This doctor is all about prescribing meds and wants nothing to do with alternative remedies. would not discuss stem cell treatment and acted like it was ridiculous to even discuss. If you disagree with his recommendation, he will refer you to another doctor. Very rude and arrogant.

Based on personality, I'm not sure how anyone could ever give him a good review! The same apply's to his office staff. Perhaps its just his quiet personailty but he comes across smug, aloof and in generaly anoid. I don't not have complaints regarding medical treatment, its all based on his poor, poor attitude.

I would recommend Dr. Ellenbogen to anyone I know. He, in my opinion is one of the best doctors I have ever been too. He is the ONLY Doctor that helped with my migraine. He is a very nice man and i' d do anything to be able to get treatment from him again, unfortunately my insurance will not cover my treatment, and I know I'll never find an awesome doctor the Dr Ellenbogen, thank you and your staff for all your help.
