Dr. Aaron Weinberg, MD

Impersonable and abrupt

Aaron Weinberg proved to be an incredibly unreliable and inconsistent doctor. Our experience with him involved two visits during which he provided conflicting information. Initially, he diagnosed my mom with bleedings in both eyes due to high blood pressure, assuring us that it was fixable. He outlined potential courses of action, including waiting for her blood pressure to decrease or, in extreme cases, undergoing a procedure or surgery. However, during the second visit, he completely reversed his stance, asserting that there was nothing that could be done for my mom. When I inquired about the previously discussed procedure, he denied it was ever an option and insisted there was no course of action available. It felt as if he was describing a different patient altogether. When I confronted him with the details from the first visit, he responded with rudeness and unprofessionalism, accusing me of fabricating information. Given that my mom is battling two cancers, encountering a doctor with such unpleasantness and ignorance is entirely unacceptable.

Very condescending. Barely spoke to me or asked me any questions about my symptoms or history. I brought him MRIs and lab results from other MDs and he through the folder on a chair without even looking at them. Then he became irritated when I asked questions, threw open the door and told me the exit was to the left. Would NOT recommend him to ANYONE!

Dr. Weinberg’s professionalism is unprecedented. When it comes to ones vision you want a physician who is serious and focused. Upon our initial meeting I thought he was curt, however, his curtness impacted on me the seriousness of the situation. He is a wonderful surgeon and I highly recommend him if you’re having retina issues. I had a detached retina and his surgery rectified the situation. I am so happy my ophthalmologist recommended I see Dr. Weinberg. He is awesome.

Dr. Weinberg, is an incredible doctor who know his specialty! His experience and knowledge are very reassuring.

I was referred to Dr. Weinberg for an emergency appointment for a detached retina. After being admitted to St. Francis and then discovering they didn't have OR time as promised (would have had to wait 5-7 hours), Dr. Weinberg had us follow him all the way out to Elmhurst Hospital where he performed surgery. The man spent his whole day traipsing all over Chicagoland to save my sight. 1.5 weeks post-op things are progressing well and I am so grateful to have an expert advocate like Dr. Weinberg!!

No. 1 he's very professional, very thorough and most of all he cares a lot about his patients. He never rushes you. I trust him implicitly and I follow all his instructions because I trust him so much. My father was also a patient and he saved his eyesight! If you have any issues with your eyes, he is the man to ensure your health with.
