Dr. Aarti Kapur, MD

I was a patient of Dr. Kapur for about a year. Dr. Kapur always made me feel extremely uncomfortable and felt like she doubted and judged every word I said. She continued to call my mother without permission about my case. I decided to remove myself from her care after she kept trying to push for a medication I was uncomfortable with. Instead of finding alternatives, she was hyper focused on this one medication and would NOT stop talking about it.

I have been a patient for Dr Kapur for about 6 years. She has helped me through some incredibly difficult moments in my life. She is personable and truly cares. Anytime I need her, she always returns my phone calls. Dr. Kapur is very knowledgeable and I would recommend her to anyone.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Kupur for roughly 5 months at first everything was great but then it turned bad. I have BCBS insurance and everytime I went in for a visit I asked about a co payment nothing was ever mentioned. Well I received a bill in the mail stating I owed $75 which was $25 for each visit. Dr Kupur called me herself and said I don’t think this is the place for you because you have an outstanding balance of $75. I was thinking it was joke because here she has me on these meds that I can’t just quit cold turkey. I said well it was never mentioned to me about a co payment each time I’ve been there so what do you expect. She said I think RHA services would be better for you. She said and $25 a visit isn’t bad at all. Well maybe not to her but for normal working people it is smh. I wouldn’t recommend her to my worst enemy. Very unprofessional and she won’t call in refills until your balance is paid too.. You’ve been warned!!

Dr. Kapur has taken excellent care of me over the past 4 years. She's caring, understanding, accommodating and very knowledgeable. I can't say enough wonderful things about her care and ability to help me. Highly recommend!

I had been seeing Dr kapur for a long time. Not great at therapy and can be abrasive. But, she's good with meds and finding the right combination. However, she could also drop you without warning and not give much explanation. Abandoned by your psychiatrist...very traumatic!

Mom took me for my anxiety. She helped me with dealing with heavy course load at school and recognize nervousness with college applications and discussed at length medication options and/or counseling.

Met with doc. She is not a pill pusher! Thank god. Listen to my concerns about ADHD medication and appetite suppressant and how it affects my anxiety. Discussed several options at length. Wonderful first experience with a specialist.

I am so grateful my doctor recommended Dr Kapur. She realized the medications I was already on were not working and was able to adjust them. She has been available to me 24/7 when I needed her. She called to check on me too!

Excellent dr. Did have to wait one month for a new patient visit but she took the entire hour to review my past history and current medications and she made great suggestions on boundaries I need to work on for my anxiety and discussed thoroughly medication options.

I became a patient of Dr. Kapur after moving to Burlington in 2017. I have been under psychiatric care since 1986 and have had some outstanding psychiatrists and a couple of disappointing ones. I have had more ECT’s than I can remember and many hospitalizations including one for almost a year. I suffered from major depression, generalized anxiety disorder, histrionic personality disorder and borderline personality disorder. Needless to say, I have had intense psychotherapy over the last 40 years. While working with Dr. Kapur, I am now on the right medications and am doing quite well. I greatly appreciate her calm demeanor and her willingness to work through these issues with me. I also see a therapist in her office, Tina Thompson, who has been very helpful.

I saw Dr Kopur for roughly a year. She was incredibly expensive (I have insurance) and NEVER remembered me, nor had any recollection of previous visits. I had a card on file, a flex health savings account card. I discontinued use in Dec '21. She changed office staff around Jan '22. The new lady NEVER let me know my card kicked out. I called multiple times to run payments, she always confirmed it went thru. NEVER told me my account was delinquent or had a balance until Dr Kopur reported it to claims. I told her I absolutely could not afford to live and pay the balance all at once, and needed to do it in chunks. Instead she would have her office staff charge the full amount and I could call to have it reversed. She said this was because we did not make an official payment agreement and dropped me once I paid the balance stating I needed to seek other care because I needed treatment for my "extreme" mental health issues. Don't waste your time

Dr.Kapur is wonderful she takes the time to listen and hear what is going on works with me to see me around my schedule and is always available if and when I need her .

Dr Kapur was very engaging, thoughtful and helped me really think through my options.

Dr. Kapur is warm, caring and compassionate. She takes her time with me and has been a savior over these past couple years. Thank you SO much, Dr. K She just got a beautiful new office and I'm in awe of my surroundings everytime I go. It is the perfect place for therapy.

I would not recommend Dr Kapur. She is arrogant and cold. She rushes through your appointment. She is very unprofessional. I would not leave her at star at all, but the system is requiring me to in order to submit a review
