Dr. Abbey Woods, MD

My long time PCP retired last summer. I chose Dr. Woods, partly for the convenience of her office so close to my home but mainly to check the accuracy of the reviews on this site, dating to 2020. My main medical condition is Type 2 diabetes but at 72 years of age I need a doctor with whom I can relate. On my first visit last summer I found a neat, clean and modern reception area and a very polite and helpful receptionist. My only surprise was the requirement to wear a mask (like during COVID) It was good to see an older male patient like me, as he was leaving, chatting and exchanging pleasantries with Dr Woods. The traditional modern exam room was well furnished and equipped. Dr Woods was very easy to talk with and updated all of my prescriptions. My second visit was today (mask still required) and she adjusted one of my medications. She also explained how she will handle the results of my blood work. Looking forward to my checkup next month. Five Stars and so far so good!

I think she's a good doctor. She takes the time to listen to your concerns and answers all questions, however, she needs to hire more people to help her in the office with billing, insurance, and reception tasks. I went there twice and she was working the reception herself, processing insurance, and then seeing patients so the wait was long. I had issues with trying to make appointments, refill prescriptions and billing in the past and I suspect it is because of how disorganized her office is

I agree with the person who would give 0 stars. I am 100% disappointed and hurt by the lack of communication, urgency and care from Dr Woods. I have been a patient for quite some time and feel let down. Through a year of trying to understand the lack of staffing, lack of communication, lack of urgency, pretty much poor patient services I was still willing to give her a chance. She has been a great doctor, but very poor business owner. I have driven up to her office just to get a response, left numerous messages, left emails on the portal and still have a chance. Now I am calling and her number is disconnected. So disappointing!

If I could give zero stars, I would. She never responded to my calls regarding lab tests, even after calling multiple times and letting her nurse know it was urgent and asking what my next steps were. Zero communication and not interested in helping me as a patient. She should not be practicing medicine.

If I could give zero stars I would. I went to see “Dr” Woods for several issues, and I thought we had a great visit since she spent a long time with me discussing my symptoms. She ordered lab work and I went to the lab immediately after my appointment. I received my lab results the next day and noticed I had a CRITICAL lab result which explained all of my symptoms yet could be fixed with a simple prescription. I never ever got a phone call back from her regarding my result. I patiently waited and waited for a call and nothing. I called a total of 3 times over the course of 3 days to get my results and STILL no response. It has been almost a week since I had lab work done and I’ve straight up been ghosted. I was even told by the receptionist that “Dr” Woods had even reviewed my lab results but left no notes for follow up; even though I had a critical lab result. The receptionist also told me that she would bump my results up the priority list and still no call. I’ve never had a doctor j

Dr Woods is a fantastic doctor. She definitely takes the time to listen and she has never acted like she’s rushed to see another patient. I found Dr Woods on my insurance website, and have not been disappointed at all.

Phone calls are rarely answered. Messages left are ignored for weeks or months. Prescriptions expire and cannot be refilled because no one can be reached to make an appointment. Labs are suggested, but the results are never known. No sense of urgency. Lobby is dusty and unkept. Look elsewhere treatment.

I'm trying to follow up on some tests she had me run and I can't get a hold of anyone. My husband even drove by her office and noticed it looked empty. Dr. Wiley seems to have moved out of the office as well, all of a sudden. I think something is going on and she's not sharing anything with her patients, just leaving them hanging.

My entire family were patients of Dr. Woods. She had some personal issues and was never at the office. Been trying to get in touch with someone at the office for over a year and never get a call back. All I ever get is a voicemail. I’m trying to make appointments for either myself or a family member! It’s not like I’m calling to pester the office! I don’t get it.

Refused to see me because I would not do a COVID test and charged me and refused to refund me. Seek medical attention else where

Dr. Woods is so personable. She takes time to listen and figure things out. I have finally found a family doctor I trust!

My husband and I both go to her and we LOVE her knowledge and comfortable personality!

On the 2 occasions that I saw Dr. Woods, I was highly impressed. She is very knowledgeable and very caring. I would highly recommend her.
