Dr Hamo saved my life.
Dr Hamo treats our entire family, my mother, my brother, and myself. We all three highly recommend him. He found a 90%blockage of the widow maker and put a stent in. I had no idea how close I was to a heart attack. He is an awesome person and you won’t find a better doctor. Seriously. You won’t.

Thanks for saving my life twice in one year..
In 2022 after Dr. Hamo performed a stress test he performed a heart cath and placed a stent in the widow maker. Don’t really know what the blockage was but he caught it. The following year he saw me at my appointment and was going to schedule me for a stress test. I told his office after they saw me when I came in and almost fainted and said no you are going by ambulance to the hospital and later be transferred to a more qualified hospital to do an ablation procedure. I was in AFIB. I had AFIB for years but never affected me this way. I was sent to another hospital and had the ablations done. I feel a lot better but still don’t feel right. I hope at my next visit he can inform me what his next step is.

Stroke happened 72 hours after discharge
My mother was admitted to Rahleigh General Hospital and received Dr. Hamo as a cardiologist. She had a heart attack but was left to lay in the bed for two days straight. Other than nurses and CNAs, we met nobody who could tell us anything. Apparently the doctor had too many emergency cases to handle to even be able to speak with my mother. Once he saw her, he decided to perform a heart cath. He disclosed with us after the procedure that there was no damage to her heart and there were no blockages in her arteries whatsoever. Fast forward 72 hours… suddenly my mother loses consciousness and is rushed to the local ER. She has had a stroke due to a blood clot in her brain. After many CTs, MRIs, and a CAT scan, it was found that she has a 30% blockage in the arteries that was earlier found to be clean. A piece of the blockage broke off and travel. Overall, I wouldn’t trust this doctor with my life or my families ever again. After this experience I refuse to return to this doctor or hospital

Doctor was assigned to me when admitted to raliegh general. He got offended because I asked him to confer with my cardiologist that can't practice at Rg and he left room .2 days later still haven't heard anything back from him or his associates .I was admitted because of defibrillator going off 19 time in span of 1 hr .

Need new Help there
I like Dr. Hamo, he is very nice but I think the office over schedules his patients , the first time I saw him years ago, at his old office he had time to talk to you and listen to you . Now at his new office it's always a long wait time. Then when he finally comes in , he don't have the time to talk to you, you feel very rushed . I really wish they schedule fewer patients a day. Also if your out of medicines and need a refill you can't never get them filled, they don't like to answer the phone , and you can leave a message and more messages but your medicine never gets called in . Considering it's heart medication they need to stay on top of this . I hope someone see this that works in his office because they need to be aware of this. Because evidently there not aware or ignoring the problem .

Thanks to you and your staff for getting my dad in so quickly. You are a Godsend to this area. We had the choice of going to Charleston but I had heard so many good things about you we decided to see you instead. And I’m so glad we did. Thank you again.

Very unorganized office overall. Staff ks flippant and uncaring toward patients. Doctor referred to as spiteful by other patients. Did not refer me for cardiac rehab after my heart attack, now i have to go to charleston for proper care. Waited hours and still doctor never showed. Uncaring.
