Dr. Abdul Bikak, MD

Here’s another version: --- I have never felt so belittled and mistreated by a doctor in my life. From the moment this man with an MD walked in, he was condescending and harsh, making me feel like I was being scolded rather than treated for a heart condition. He didn’t take even a moment to understand my concerns or explain his approach. Instead, he fired off questions in rapid succession, barely giving me time to answer, and didn’t seem to listen to anything I said. The entire experience left me anxious and on edge, to the point where I could feel my heart starting to act up. When I became overwhelmed and asked for a moment to collect myself, he refused to leave, insisting we continue. My frustration and anger reached a peak, and only then did he step out. But instead of returning to help, he sent in his office manager to tell me that I should go back to my cardiologist for a referral to another practice. This experience was incredibly upsetting, and I would never feel safe in their care. I strongly urge anyone considering this office to think twice—your well-being deserves much better.

I was seeing Dr. Bikak in the Heart Failure Clinic at Wellstar for months. On the Sunday, before Labor Day, I went to the ER and they determined that I had bilateral pleural effusions, and AFIB with RVR. Dr. Bikak saw me the next morning. He prescribed antiarrhythmic drugs and a Cardiac conversion on Tuesday because he said, 'no one works on Labor Day'.I continued having difficulty breathing and the RN called Dr. Bikak. He stated that the most he would do is a round of diuretics but no other treatment. Seeing that he didn't care about me, I checked out of Wellstar and went to St. Joseph's where I was quickly moved to the Critical Care Unit (CCU) and remained for 3.5 days. I was later moved to a cardiac room for an additional 4 days.The Doctors learned that the tests conducted at Wellstar revealed I was also suffering from pericarditis but treatment was not provided. In my opinion, Dr. Bikak was negligent in his medical duties, and I would never recommend him!

The entire staff were pleasant and helpful. From the time I checked in for my appointment until I checked out to be admitted to the hospital. I’m grateful to be a patient of Dr. Bikak’s and his pleasant staff.

My 1st visit was because of chest main. He is very knowledgeable, he explained everything in an honest clear way so I could understand. I’m doing real well after knowing that I have sleep apnea and I think we need more doctors like him. That know medicine and can explain it as well. He knows his stuff.

He is very informative about my heart condition. He takes time to talk to me. I am grateful Dr Blum sent me to him when Blum retired.

I was assigned Dr. Bikak when I was sent to the hospital he works for Pulmonary Hypertension. He is AMAZING. So kind and considerate. Never made me feel like he was rushing to the next patient. Always explained everything and then made sure we understood what he told us. His staff (who are equally as kind and attentive as he is) handled fighting insurance to make sure I can get the meds I need, and not the cheaper ones they tried to make me use. He took the effort and time to learn my kids names. That made us feel so cared for!! Can not recommend him strongly enough. A very learned man and a very kind man. So lucky I found him!! VERY STRONGLY RECOMMEND!!!

Dr Bikak takes the time to explain issues in a clear simple manner, using examples that are easy to understand. He is very helpful with any issues we have with my medications and insurance. He helped me get a primary care physician and a kidney specialist.

Very short wait time and he was well prepared for my visit. He had all results of my labs and tests ready and took time to explain things and ask for questions...staff were great too

I was sent to Dr. Bikak for Cardiomyopathy. He took the time to sit with me and explain everything in detail so that I understood it. His nurses were also very helpful in answering questions and explaining things. I am now on the right medications and feel like a new person! Highly recommend.

Dr. Bikak is a very knowledgeable doctor in his medical field. He is very compassionate with his patients. You can understand everything he is telling you. He explains in detail .Super doctor!!!

Dr. Bikak has been a God send for me. He has been very easy to work with with my chronic heart failure. He takes time to actually talk to you about what is going on. Nothing worse than feeling clueless when your health is not the greatest. He alleviated all my concerns because he took the time to talk to me about what was really going on. The appointments are always on time that was scheduled. 10:00 am appointment you are in the room by 10:00 am, and seen him very soon. During the visit he doesn't rush, he takes time to really talk to you and explain the situations as to why you are there. You will never leave without feeling better about what is going on. His nurse staff is always pleasant, and when you call most times the nurse answer but when she doesn't and you have to leave a message you will receive a call back. I highly recommend him if you are in need of a cardiologist.
