Rude and Insensitive
Extremely rude and arrogant. Spoke harshly to me on the phone and basically said there was nothing that could be done to keep a relative alive. Not sure why you are in this profession if your job isn't to help people get better. Shocking. Also, I spend time doing my own research and I don't appreciate being talked down to or interrupted, both of which Dr. Sheik did while on the phone.

A shining light.
He was wonderful. Explained my husband's condition, what caused it, how it would be treated. Answered all my questions, listened to my concerns, took his time. Charlotte Hungerford Hospital is the worst - a real death trap, but Dr. S was a shining light.

Laughed at me, didn't even examine me.
Im still in shock with the level of arrogance and disrespect this “doctor” displayed. He literally laughed in my face, didn't touch my body in any examination at all. Didnt want to tell me how long he has been an infectious disease doctor, but after asking “ why is that info. a secret”, he said …” I dint know Few years”. I asked , “ 2, 3 years”? and he said “ approx. 10 years. Been sick with tick infections, cat as well, he dismissed the lab results in front of him, was very rude and said there was nothing he can do for me. Wouldn't even look at my blood blisters. Did admit that lyme can be diagnosed clinically due to its insidious nature. But ordered nothing, was clearly angry and refunded my copay and again.. one of the rudest doctors Ive met thus far since my constant decline since my tick bite decades ago and several positive labs to prove. Not including the labs that show bartonella. In my opinion he should be reviewed by a real doctor and brought down to reality. God complex
