Relief after 3 years of pain
Dr. Rayhaun performed a C4/C5 fusion surgery in July 2023. I am completely pain free and I had an excellent recovery. I found Dr. Rayhaun to be a caring professional who listened to my concerns and and responded appropriately.

Thank God for Doctors
Aug.6,2020 and Sept.4, 2020 I had 2 successful outpatient neck surgeries for two separate issues discovered on MRI and diagnosed by Dr. Rayhaun. Surgery #1 was through the back of my neck to open a nerve channel for my right arm. Surgery #2 was through the front of my neck to repair a long term undiagnosed spinal cord injury. Surgery #2 required removal of 2 discs and replacement and inserting a titanium plate with screws. I recovered quickly and returned to work in 90 days. Now 28 months later I feel great and strong. I am extremely grateful for the knowledge and skilled hands of Dr. Rayhaun and his Operating Room Surgical team, support staff and Long Beach Memorial Hospital.

Literally the best Surgeon I have ever met
We came to see Dr. Rayhaun for a follow up after my wife (age 41) had an ICH Stroke on 6/18/22 and subsequent craniotomy on 6/23/2022 (performed by Dr. Rayhaun). At first (in CCU at hospital), I was guarded he seemed to run through the procedure and possible outcomes quickly and I had 1 hour to decide if my wife would have the surgery. Within 15 minutes my wife was on the way to the operating room. The surgery was an outstanding success with no major complications, and no infection. Her scar has healed and will not be visible after her hair grows out. My wife 2 months out on affected side has regained vision , sensation, ability to walk, climb up/down stairs, her left arm is getting stronger, and short term has memory improved. During the Follow up with Dr. Rayhaun he answered all questions, took the time to explain everything, went over CT images and was very compassionate. He has a very impressive background and experience. This man saved my wifes life. I trust him.

Dr Rayhaun performed surgery to remove a pituitary tumor. It was very successful. I think the results were better than he had explained or i hoped.

Dr Rayhaun was at best Sub Par, I came insever pain and he said he did not think he would find any thing , and basically dismissed me. I left his office to and thought I can not do this pain any longer a walked into his private office and asked him to feel the bulge in my back, he touched my back and then ordered me a referral to pain management with a epidural shot with another MRI to happen 2 weeks prior to my follow up. When the 2 weeks came and I did not have a referral on my portal I called the office and the lady at the counter, she proceeded to tell me " She did not have the time the call in the referrals and, do I want to speak to her manager" She then proceeded to say I will get to it "today or tomorrow" in short I got my shot the day before my follow up. On my follow up he looked at my MRI and saw discs touching and TOLD ME TO CALL!my pain DR to give my a treatment that I never heard of! What a joke !! I do not think me calling pain meds is even legal!

Dr Rayhaun was acting strangely during my appmt.Pic looks like his son or he had some work done, with that being said, perhaps he has a little dementia. In all due respect, he seemed quite elder & kept asking same question over and over, perhaps dementia? I'm sorry that for my brief visit, but, he will not get my recommendation. I expect a minimum of common decency & reciprocal respect between Surgeon & patient. I expect him to be at minimum able to explain to me any assessments. Disappointed!

Dr. Rayhaun performed an incredibly risky surgery on me and the outcome far exceeded my expectations. He took his time to meet with me several times to explain the procedure in depth prior to surgery. I would highly recommend him.
