Dr. Achin Sharma, MD

I was scheduling an appointment as a new patient but there was a very rude front desk rep. It was like she wasn't trained to talk with patients. It triggered my PTSD so I will not become a patient of theirs.

Dr. Sharma was very through with me when I had bronchitis during the first few months of the covid-19 outbreak. I have heart disease and he made sure that was treated so that there would be very little chance of me become infected with covid.

I have no experience with the doctor but I have a relative that has. He told my relative he would have the office complete paper work he needed for his job. They have not done so and the doctor is now refusing to meet with my relative and because of the doctors actions my relative will probably be fired. The doctor office was not available to see my relative so he went to a clinic when he was very sick and was diagnosed with pneumonia and could not return to work. Paper work has to be completed by primary. They are refusing so I hope my relative sues him.

He is a great Physician. He spent time with me. I have been there twice as a new patient. Both times he was very attentive. He definitely knows a lot about hormones and is a great doctor for people with thyroid issues.

I have been a patient at this practice for over 15 years and the practice as a whole has gone way down due to the disorganization and apathetic nature of some, but not all, of his staff at Horn Lake Family practice. Dr. Sharma is very smart but I think he is not aware of the way his office staff makes a judgement on whether or not you need to be seen when you come as a walk-in. It is clear to see that the practice has grown too large and actions have not been taken to keep up with then patient load. It seems though the office staff are stressed out and this makes them have a bad attitude. The patient portal has been down for a year even though the staff has been made aware of the situation. I really hate to leave this practice because I like Dr. Sharma and feel that he is capable of providing good care but I will leave because I have had enough of the constant issues with the office practice as a whole. I hope Dr. Sharma will audit and evaluate his practice.
