From almost the minute I stepped in the door for my 9am appointment, Nicole at the front desk was spewing hatred towards Mexicans. While it seemed like the other patients in the waiting room largely agreed with her rhetoric, I had enough by 9:30am and cancelled my appointment. Direct quotes include “I hope ICE gets them all”, “there used to be so many Mexicans on my bus, have you noticed they’re gone?” and “I’m so fu**king happy about all the deportations.” I really wanted to see the doctor because this appointment was booked a month out, but I was so disgusted by Nicole’s gleeful vitriol that I decided it wasn’t worth knowing the status of my own health. Unfortunately, this office was assigned to me through Medicaid, so I don’t exactly have a lot of other options. To be so unabashedly and incorrectly hateful (no, undocumented people aren’t reaping government benefits/not paying taxes at the expense of elderly US citizens) while being a government funded medical provider is both alarming and hypocritical. I am deeply disappointed that we have come to a point where this is seen as acceptable. I would have told the doctor directly, but he still wasn’t in the building at 9:30am though my appointment was at 9. I don’t need a liberal doctor’s office, I need one that treats everyone with basic human decency. I won’t be returning, which I’m sure is of no matter to the provider, but I do want to warn anyone who is considering this office - it is not neutral, it is aggressively right-winged.

Doctor Ellis has been my family physician for nearly 20 years. He's very professional yet easy & makes patients feel very comfortable to speak to, yet is very stern when need be. He's very polite and has been my saving grace when I tend take serious health issues too lightly.

Man ant right
I have health insurance that he accepts but past few months I'm told to pay cash or I can't see the doctor cause now he dont take it . Didnt seem right to me or my wife so she called an my insurance lady told me save all the eceipts cause she's looking into this. As for the visits I'm always there hours in the filthy waiting room to be called back in another room waiting longer just to be rushed out of my appointment. Only good thing staff is nice. It's hard to get another doctor but I'm going to be switching soon.

I have been trying for 2 weeks to make arrangements to get referrals for a colonoscopy next month and so far, no luck. The answering service is sympathetic to my situation and has taken messages, but, so far, no luck. I have been told that he has been sick. I just wish there was an associate who can help me with my situation. I also have issues with anxiety and depression and can not serve on jury duty (I find it hard to focus). That being said, I need a certification. If I do not get my referrals soon, I am going to have to cancel my colonoscopy. I don't know what to do about jury duty, though.

My PCP retired and I made an appt 3 weeks ago for today - specifically because I am leaving for vacation on Friday and needed to see him before then. They called me yesterday to confirm and then this morning I get a call that he is cancelling all appt's for today! I made alot of arrangements in anticipation of today's much needed appt. After a frustrating conversation I will now see him on Friday (the day I leave for vacation). I am NOT happy!

Dr. Ellis has been in practice for decades (not to date him; he is medically up-to-date in every area of my health concerns). I'm a 62 year-old man who has been under the care of several primary physicians during those years. Dr. Ellis surpasses all the others by miles. He is pleasant, down-to-earth and easy to talk to. He is patient and spends as much time with me as needed and never makes me feel rushed so he can get to the next patient.
