Dr. Adam Kaplan, MD

It is a pleasure to recommend the urological services of Dr. Adam Kaplan. I had two visits with him. In the first one he explained what information he needed to assess my condition, and the follow-up was scheduled. The second visit consisted in a sonogram examination of the prostate to determine its size and other issues. The exam went very well. The procedure is a little more penetrating than the “white-glove” approach in the doctor’s office, but the results “leave no stone unturned.” Afterwards, Dr. Kaplan explained what he had found and which options I had. When I had questions, he answered them clearly and fully. Altogether it was a pleasant and rewarding experience, and his written report of the exam was clear and concise in my file.

Dr. Kaplan performed a Robotic Assisted Simple Prostatectomy for my very enlarged prostate. I could not be happier with the results! He eased my fears and concerns going in, he has a very easy, approachable manner. He instilled great confidence and explained everything to me in a way that made it a true partnership. Dr. Kaplan answered every question I had in depth, with evident expertise & empathy. He was the right person to do the prostate surgery using the latest technology, having led or participated in hundreds of such robotic surgeries. My surgery went extremely well: no detectable cancer! With Dr. Kaplan’s advice, I was fully recovered (no incontinence, full sexual function) a couple of months after. I’m so grateful to Dr. Kaplan — I hope many people benefit from his knowledge, skill, and compassion.

i am generally nervous when I have medical appointments, but Dr. Kaplan was compassionate and knowledgeable which instantly put me at ease. The time he spends to make sure I understand made me feel important. I feel very fortunate to have found this doctor.

Dr. Kaplan took a lot of time to explain complex issues in ways I could understand them.. His chairside manner is very comforting; he is clearly the epitome of a knowledgeable, caring and dedicated doctor.

Fantastic diagnostician, surgeon and human being. I even liked his office staff, and prompt scheduling. He is an expert at robotic assisted prostate surgery and mine was 100% successful. I'd recommend him (and have) to all who have prostate problems.

Very unlikely to visit this doc again! Long wait times, very little consultation about my prostate cancer. See someone else with better bedside manner.
