Very happy with procedure and doctor
Dr. Riva performed a PRP procedure on my elbow. The appointment was quick and painless (a bit of pain when I got home and over weekend). The pain is expected to improve 3-6 months but I truly feel like it is already feeling better. I loved the facility in Irvine, the doctor and staff.

Dr Rivas has been my physician for 2 going on 3 years. He's fantastic along with nurse Celeste. He's always trying to improve my level of pain and health solutions. 10 out of 10 stars! He's very empathetic and sympathetic to each patient with no judgments. Just a sweet and caring doctor.

I did not have a good experience with Dr. Rivadeneyra. Had major swelling and pain in my right knee and did physical therapy for 3 months. Went back for my check-up and asked for an MRI as it was not improving and 3 Physical Therapists said I had signs & symptoms of a torn meniscus. He said to me "I never want to see you here again unless you are in extreme pain and then I'll give you a cortisone shot." At first I thought he was kidding but he wasn't. He said that with people my age this is very common and to go enjoy my life. Really? I can't even bend my knee, can't exercise and was in pain; he is very dismissive. So I went to another doctor and explained my problem. He immediately scheduled an MRI and I have a horizontal tear in my meniscus. I knew it as after 3 months I was not getting better. My new doctor drained the fluid from my knee, gave me a cortisone shot and I am doing much better. I can now bend my knee without stiffness and the swelling went away within a day.

Dr Rivadeneyra is a horrible excuse for a doctor! Do not see him. He falsely diagnosed my knee and refused to call me when I had severe concerns as the PT he subscribed was hurting my knee. I asked for an MRI so we could be sure I didn’t have meniscus issues. I had to ask twice and both times he refused. He also refused to directly talk to me even though I’d asked twice. I was told he would only speak to me if I made another appointment. I immediately went to a new orthopedic, got an MRI stat and sure enough! I do have partial-thickness radial tear of my lateral meniscus!!! Not sure I should of been doing the squats he prescribed. But honestly! Don’t you think I should be allowed to get an MRI!! I’d had this injury for 8 weeks by the time I’d seen him. Oh he also told me on my first visit that he didn’t mind if I continued to play tennis upon which I told him that every time I do it hurts terribly etc. and hasn’t gotten better. Nothing seemed to click in his head. Bad bad doctor!!!

Do NOT go to this Dr. His office staff is terribly rude, he refuses to call patients back even if they have a concern over the injury they have with the child. He is unapologetic and if you have an HMO, he will treat you like dirt. Horrible experience. Worst dr I’ve ever seen and I’ve seen a ton having cancer. Do not go here! There are too many other talented and nice drs in the area.

I can not speak highly enough about the quality of care provided by Dr. Rivadeneyra and his entire team. They saw me for back pain, sent me to CMH for testing, diagnosed my condition, found another problem, treated it, developed a comprehensive and progressive treatment plan, provided pain management, oversaw insurance processing, schedule surgery, PT, and was always available. Tonya and others at the front desk and Maggie (Lead RN) coordinated all the details at all times. Exemplary care!
