Incredible
My mom was at Sutter Hospital with acute kidney failure. Because of her age and because she has other issues the doctors wanted to put her on dialysis and hospice. When Dr. Bhat listening to her story about how it came on, he was intrigued and put off dialysis until he could review her file and medications. He came back with a steroid treatment that brought her creatinine levels down from over 11 to 1.9. She is at home and recovering. Kidneys are working. Even at our follow up, he continued to strategize by taking her off of medication that could have contributed to this. He has been wonderful and meticulous.

The dialysis patients at the Crescent City, Ca dialysis clinic were indeed very fortunate to have had Dr. Bhat as our Nephrologist for almost 1 year. I would be dishonest if I said that I was not distressed when I was told that this was at an end. My memories of Dr. Bhat will be some of the most pleasant that I have had in the past 10 years. His presence in the clinic was the high point of my day and I always thoroughly enjoyed our interaction There are always intangibles when evaluating professional ability. Skill and proficiency are always expected, but humanity and humility are not always given and/or received. He surpassed my expectations in every respect and I will be eternally grateful. I will be envious of those patients who benefit from his professional and personal attention and wish that ours could have continued.

What a blessing it is to be in the care of Dr. Bhat and the team at Summit Nephrology. Eight years ago I was on dialysis, looking to get a life saving kidney transplant. Dr. Bhat has been kind, caring, humble, thoughtful, easy to talk to, and has an incredible ability to explain complex health issues, in a way I can understand. He has always taken the the time to listen to all my questions and concerns. Dr. Bhat is the most thorough medical professional I have ever had in my corner. So lucky.

This approachable and unassuming man has been my life's salvation on several occasions. His expertise extends far beyond the scope of his specialty. In an age where I trust almost no one, this man I gladly entrust with my life. Thank you Dr. Bhat. You are the best Doctor I will ever have the privilege of knowing.
