I have had an appointment scheduled with Dr. Albelo for months now and I showed up today promptly at 3PM (I had to leave my office early and take off the rest of the day from work in order to do so). As I arrive at the Dr. Albelo's office, the receptionist checks me in and hands me the forms to fill out, and after about 5 minutes of filling out the forms, just as I am wrapping up, the receptionist calls me to the desk and informs me that "uhm, oh yeah, I forgot to tell you the doctor had to go to the emergency room." She then suggested that I go down the street to their "affiliate" network to some doctor who was "probably available" and who "probably took my insurance" though she could not confirm either of those points for me. Dr. Albelo should have more respect for her patient's time! Cancelling on the day of an appointment that was scheduled months in advance? Completely unprofessional and pathetic!
