I have been suffering from chronic congestion and sinus issues for over 6 months. I met with Dr. Mandpe and explained all my symptoms in full detail several times. She successfully wasted the last 4 months of my life by misdiagnosing me and applying treatments that did not work despite my constant complaints. It was very apparent she was not listening to me nor did she care to dig deeper to understand the root of my problems. On top of misdiagnosing me, she decided that surgery would improve my symptoms. The surgery did not improve anything and only made me suffer more than I have been already. I ended up meeting with a new doctor who quickly figured out the source (deviated septum) in just one visit by applying a nasal strip on my nose. Despite the CT Scan clearly displaying my deviated septum, Dr. Mandpe did not even mention this as a possibility to me. The new doctor also noticed I had a ruptured ear drum, which Dr. Mandpe never mentioned either. Dr. Mandpe and SF ENT charged me thousands of dollars over the past few months and I only got worse from their treatment. They additionally charge hundreds to thousands of dollars for normal routine examinations that are included in other clinic visits. The only success Dr. Mandpe had was making me feel more miserable and lose my mental health over time. I am shocked that someone like her is a doctor, I highly recommend you go to another clinic and save yourself from this horrific place.

I was told that my eardrum was perforated by GP doctor who advised me to see an ENT. Dr. Mandpe was calm, friendly, and competent. She sucked a plug of wax from my ear, told my eardrum was just fine, and restored my hearing in less than 15 minutes! Fabulous.

Here's what I appreciated: - She believed my symptoms and had empathy. - She reviewed my MRIs, previous notes, and asked me a full set of questions; even though, I had seen her colleague Dr. Mickel the week prior. She asked me many more questions than he did and overall seemed much more thorough. Here's what I didn't: - She said that I was displaying symptoms of a CSF leak, but she didn't do any tests to confirm that, meaning that she also didn't do anything to help resolve it. She could have ordered a CT scan or done an in-office look inside my nasal cavity. - She should have referred me onto a neurologist sooner than she did (I think it took 3 visits before she referred me). She was clearly knowledgeable (about CSF leaks and head injuries), and she even started me on steroids for it. But I don't know why she didn't refer me on to a practitioner who has that experience earlier on. - She referred me to a neurologist who was not at all knowledgeable.
