The word cancer ! You think it’s hopeless! Doctor was great about every question, I had ! He help us through a difficult journey ! Everything he said was accurate!! He is the best & he also has a wonderful staff!!

This was our first consultation with Dr Yakan. We walked away feeling that we were listened to, he explained the disease process we are dealing with and moving forward, an initial plan of care was formulated. Dr Yakan spoke to us in layman's terms and gave us plenty of time to ask questions. At no time did we feel rushed.

I see Doctor Yakan because my guts trust his medical knowledge, his patience, his intelligence, his time taking & no rush to explain everything in details. He always carefully reviews any new test results when in a room with you & goes over any concern with you patiently. He explains well the condition; potential outcomes , treatment & runs regular tests without delays. The office staff is amazing. As many times I came there, I wish all doctors’ offices will be run like that: Timely appointments, , everyone so respectful to patients, always answer phone calls; promptly deliver patient’s messages to a doctor & within couple hours return calls with answers or the guidance. I Highly recommend doctorYakan to anyone.

Took my Mom to see Dr. Yakan for her anemia. From the receptionist, to the smiling nurses, the PA and Dr. Yakan himself, we felt at ease, were seen in a timely manner, had everything explained to us, was given a good treatment plan and we were on our way. I really appreciated not having to sit for a long time in the waiting area. We felt Dr. Yakan and his PA were truly interested in getting to the root cause. Would highly recommend him and can’t say enough!

He is an incredible doctor! He explains things very well. He has a very calming manner about him. He follows up on questions and tests the same day. He really cares about his patients and their well-being. He makes the very scary process of dealing with cancer a lot more bearable. I couldn't recommend him enough!!

I dealt with 4 people this last visit, receptionist, nurse, Dr. and the outpatient check person. Everyone was extremely pleasant. Dr. Yakan has been my doctor since 2016 and I love him. He is extremely patient and understanding and listens to me and then offers remedies. So many of his explanations I had no previous knowledge about. I am very thankful he was referred to me 7 years ago. I realize I am not the best at writing a review but if you decide to see him, I don’t think you will ever regret it. One more observation was I signed in and just as I was taking my seat, they were already calling my name to go to the exam room and Dr. Yakan was in about 3 minutes later. So it appears the front desk really knows how to schedule appointments!

Everyone I came in contact with, from the medical tech, the P.A and Dr. Yakan were very nice, helpful, and work within a very efficient,calming environment.

Dr. Yakan clearly explained my situation, the cause and affect of what was going on, so I had a clear understanding. He was patient and responded to my questions. He provided suggestions and feedback.

Dr. Yakan (and staff) are the most caring, compassionate and knowledgeable providers I have ever met. I’m an emergency room nurse and have worked along side many providers. Dr. Yakan really goes the extra mile, will discuss any research I find with me, calls me back when I call him, etc. Any and all lumps and bumps on my body he checks out and orders tests if warranted. I trust him with my life, literally.

Dr. Yakan has been my oncologist for just over 2 years. He is compassionate, knowledgeable and thorough. The office staff is professional and the practice is well run - only once have I had a long wait. Would highly recommend.

Dr. Yakan takes special interest in his patient. I absolutely adore him, not only for his medical know, but his bedside manners are stunning. I have yet to meet a doctor who explains everything and talks to me to assure that I will be fine. Accolades are in order for Dr. Yakan!

I've had many visits to Doctor Yakan since my mastectomies two and a half years old. I think the world of him for his medical expertise and, just as importantly, his "bedside manner "! Breast cancer was scary. He is so compassion and made me feel as ease.

My oncologist since 2013, saved my life.

Inoperable adenocarcinoma subclavical. Dr. Yakan led the fight with aggressive treatments and radiation. Results: tumor reduced 40%. That was in 2011. A week ago, I underwent a complete physical and specifically scanned for cancer and to look at tumor. Results: It appears no regrowth. I now live in Tuy Hoa, Phu Yen, Vietnam and teach English to university teachers. I enjoy my life, every day.

I would recommend this doctor to my family and friend because he is so kind. He calls you to check on how you are feeling and makes every effort to ease your pain. He is sincere and honest. Great doctor.
