I met Dr Hamburger when he first came to the USA and worked in TX. We bonded over our shared homesickness. He was very empathetic.

I went to Dr. Hamburger for horrible back pain that woke me from sleep every single night, and prevented me from falling back to sleep. I had previously had MRIs from other Doctors that hadn't shown anything. He ordered a bone scan, which also showed nothing. After going over the results with me he said he wanted to make my next appointment for 6 months. I explained to him that I was having horrible pain every night and was only getting like 3 hours of sleep a night, and that I was so tired I had actually nodded off twice while driving my car(one time I nodded off and came back to when the car next to me blared the horn at me, and the other time I came back to when I hit the ridges on the side of the road.) Also I had had several serious accidents at work, that would not have happened if I had been sleeping. He says, "Oh, that sounds dreadful. All right I'll see you in 6 months." I seriously thought about going to that appointment, but in the end decided he was a waste of time and $.
