Wow Wow WOW is all I can say!
I had been dealing with anxiety and depression for most of my life so I have seen dozens of therapists psychologists and psychiatrists before. Dr Ambrose is in a whole different class! I usually get so anxious to doctors meeting and my Apple Watch was going off about my heart rate before the meeting. His knowledge, demeanor and even in the way he talks to you is just top notch!! TROp Notch all the way! I was so much calmer by the end because I knew I was in good hands!

Saved MY LIFE!
It's not exaggeration that I wouldn't be here if I didn't see DR. Ambrose. I still remember my first meeting with him a year ago and I was just so angry all the time. He immediately saw through it and asked me if I was angry because it was easier to show anger than sadness. I'm a pretty intimidating 6' 3' guy so anger is all people saw! I saw psychiatrists after psychiatrists and he just understood me immediately! My wife and I have been telling our whole extended families to see him!

Big brain and big HEART
Telehealth
Both my kids and I see him, and I can see why it's impossible to get an appointment!!!! SO smart and so sweet!! You can tell he's a good guy. Our family probably had 6-7 other docs before so I know what I'm talking abotu. I know all about the kinds that just charge you a ton and then send you out the door. You know the type of docs I mean!!

I just saw him finally and I have to say he's the best doctor I ever had. My goodness, the waitlist wass so long, but it's so worth it. Literaly, I thought I was going to have a nervous breakdown today and after seeing him, I feel SO much better!! My problems didn't change but how I SEE the problems is so different. That's amazing to me!

THe 'NO' you need to hear!
Honestly, I can't believe that I'm raving about a doctor that told me 'no' so many times. I saw on TV all these advertisements and I wanted to try them. He told me 'no' and he actually explained why. These BIG pharma companies were trying to be slick, but some of the medications would have messed up my other medical problems. WHy didn't they say that in the commercials? One of my coworkers did end up taking one of those meds, and she got really sick. I was really annoyed at first and thought about switching doctors, but Thank GOD he told me no!! That's how you know your doctor really cares. Dr Ambrose actually cared enough to tell me somethings I disliked but that's exactly what you need to hear!!

He's the real deal! I saw him for a consultation as a brain expert, and he was fabulous. What really stood out to me was the next time I saw him, he saw that I was taking some medications that interacted with each other. He took the time to explain to me what each medication does. This doctor really knows his stuff!!! He didn't have to do that though. He wasn't my main psychiatrist and he didn't prescribe me those meds. But he took the time to actually pay attention to me as a whole human being and cared enough to ehlp me even when it wasn't his job. I was really touched!

THis is the real deal! I saw maybe ... 15-20 psychiatrists and therapists in my life thus far, and I never really connected with anyone. I don't know why it took me so long to actually find a good doctor. I don't know how to explain it... he actually genuinely cares about his patients. IN the beginning, I didn't really believe what he's saying so I didn't really listen to it. I lied to him about taking meds and I didn't care. He literally sat me down and went through each medication, how it works, what kinda side effects, and most importantly WHY he prescribed them to ME. He didn't push me to take them or was angry at me at all. He didn't give up on me. He was actually worried about me and just wanted my pain to stop. I couldn't believe it. I just started crying.. I don't know where it came from. I had dozens of doctors before and no one has ever cared about me and my mental health so deeply before. I will always remember that moment for the rest of my life.

Before i brought my kids to see him I was looking him up and i was skeptical because ain't noone is that nice. You just can't trust the pharma and medical people... they alway sbe trying to throw medications so they can make money. This guy... he's the real deal! He asked me like 5 times if I understood the conditions my kids have and which meds are good and why they're good!!! I never had a doctor take the time to talk to me like that! My kids love him too! I cannot believe it's this hard to find a good doctor. Good on you Dr Ambrose for giving me hope again!!

Best doctor I've had!
I have a lot of medical problems so I had my share of doctors at Columbia University and Doctor Ambrose is by far the best I've ever had. He doesn't hold his punches and say all the hard truths but you can really tell that he genuinely cares about me as a human being! He also takes the time to explain to me my questions. Super smart guy!!

I've been struggling with depression on and off for 10 years. He's the first doctor that actually helped me. He didn't just throw PILL AFTER PILL at me. He actually listened and helped me during this pandemic. It shouldn't be this hard to find a doctor that cares like this....

Great Doctor! Takes the time to explain to us and doesn't just throw meds after meds at us... like every single other doctor out there. Really smart guy! My kid really likes him, which says a lot, because he had refused to see other doctors before. He reminded me of my military dad 'cause he's so strict, lol. he actually talks to us like we're humans.

Harvard doc but so humble and sweet. First doc I ve seen without their heads stuck up their you-know-wat. He is so so good with my kid. He sat in an appointment where she was so depressed and didn't say a single word for the entire visit, and I thought that was that. We're done. But he stuck with us and she is finally learning to share her feelings and she knows she doesn't have to carry the weight of the world on her shoulders. And I have to let other people know that this doc is so worth the weight. It was a long time, but so weorth the weight! Thank you Dr Ambroise!

Dr. Ambrose is probably the nicest mean guy, if that makes any sense. Both of my kids see him, and he is completely 100% no non-sense. My kid called him a "b-word" and he didn't even flinch. Good guy and really cares. It's too bad I hear he's leaving. This always happens to the good doctors we find...

Our family went through a bunch of psychiatrists (and let me tell you, there were a few in Newton), and we never really quite "click." I didn't understand why until I met Dr Amborose. You can really tell that he cares. We did family therapy with him and he actually listened and didn't take any sides. But let me tell you, there were so many moments I wanted to quit because I didn't like what he was telling me. But it was the truth!! And he actually said it like it is no sugar coating and I needed to hear that. Why is that so hard to find in therapists (seriously)! He deserves all the compliments on here because he actually spent the time and made us feel like a family again. I'm getting emotional writing this because it's been years since I feeel that way again.
