Everyone at the office is friendly and courteous.

I saw Dr. Malas for a GI related issue. During my visit, he gave me time to share my issue, asked good questions and was well-informed when it came time to explain reasons and plan of action. I ended up doing a colonoscopy and he arrived early and we were able to start right away. His in the field to help people. Highly recommend him.

We received a referral to see Dr. Ahmad Malas from an ER visit. I called the office and tried scheduling an appointment and was told I needed a referral from the ER (which is fine, normal procedure) to be faxed over from the ER. The first lady was helpful after discussing the ER visit and who referred us, she gave me the details how to get the referral to the office since we were at a Mercy ER. I followed her directions. The referral was sent but when I called back, the receptionist that helped me the second time, Tracy, was not helpful at all and horrible to deal with. She demeaned me telling me that the ER referral could not be considered a referral because it was from a Mercy ER, not ProMedica ER, even though the Dr. at the Mercy ER asked me my preference...Worst customer service on the phone I have ever experienced. I followed up with insurance and the ER. They too are very confused why this office would not take the referral. Must be a sign to not proceed further.

Dr. Malas is very thorough and easy to talk to. Always spends enough time with you and discusses your plan of care.

Dr. Malas is excellent, very knowledgeable, excellent beside manner, explains everything so it's understood, and provides adequate time with each visit. Highly recommend. Patience is required while trying to schedule an appointment.

Dr. Malas was wonderful and a breath of fresh air after almost 3 years of trying to find answers to my GI problems. He explained everything and every possibility to me with great detail, and he never made me feel rushed or like I was an inconvenience. He followed up with me personally after I had questions following my endoscopy and was extremely helpful in making sure I understood my test results thoroughly. I would recommend him to anyone in a heartbeat.
