yes i understand all docs have different bed side manners but this guys was 1/10 at best. sure they will deliver their standard of care thats required but the mental toll takes a beating with this docs delivery. i understand bouncing between patients in the er is a lot and coordinating with other specialities is paramount, but this doc just gave off bad vibes. stay clear..if you can

Ignores patients’ complaints

Took my husband to the ER and his dr was Dr Ahmad. He was very nice and explained the issue. He ordered xrays and made both of us reassured he was doing all he could to help. Very happy and pleased with the entire staff at Hoag Irvine ER and especially Dr. Ahmed.

Early this morning, I brought my son in because he encountered some dog hair which induces asthma like symptoms. He was having a pretty hard time breathing. When Dr Ahmed came in, he had really good energy and asked a lot of questions to get familiarized with the situation. He took some extra time to listen to what I had to say which helped guide the treatment plan in a way that made me feel great about the direction. Some doctors tend to only do things their way so this was relieving. Dr Ahmed and his team did an excellent job and after no more than an hour, my son was breathing great and happy. Very grateful.

My back had been spasming out of control for several hours, I was in terrible pain, called 911 from home and had them take me to Hoag. He did a cursory exam, told me it was a strained muscle and that he wouldn't/couldn't do anything about it, told me I didn't need an x-ray or MRI and I should excercise more (I couldn't even walk at that point). Told me I should just go home. Dreadful experience, home now trying to figure out what to do next, still in agony.
