I was supposed to be back to work in three weeks, 18 months since 1st surgery I am now totally disabled. Lower spine surgery, became 3 surgery’s and 3 CT Myelogram’s in a six month period. 8 months ago was last visit with him, has he, his staff or the hospital reached out to me to see how I am doing, no! Most appointments, were extremely rushed, he would discount my neurologist views and the radiologist reports following MRI’s or other visits. 1st surgery started 11:30 pm supposed to start at 6:00 PM, 4 weeks later Surg 2 6 weeks later Surg 3 2 & 3 due to complication with Surg 1. He made it sound like a very simple surgery. My life has changed, weekly PT, New Neurosurgeon, Weekly Pain Management Support group, lots of pills 3x daily due to daily pain. Meds cause lots of Side Effects.New Neurosurgeon is recommending SpinalStimulator. Loss my job, loss physical abilities to live a active life, wife and I’s active lifestyle has drastically changed and no apology by Dr. Raslan

Dr. Raslan's office is completely disorganized, has sent me home with another patient's visit summary, given me incorrect and inappropriate information/advice, failed to give me necessary information regarding a potential surgery that would have given my life back to me and caused the cancellation of said surgery. They repeatedly sent me emails that demonstrated none of the PA's or nurse bothered to look at my chart or my medical history. They continuously disregarded my valid concerns, gave me misinformation, and crushed my fragile hope for the future by failing to communicate or help me manage my horrific facial pain. After they jerked me around for 9 months, failing to show professionalism or a respectable standard of care, I was finally informed that Dr. Raslan's office "doesn't manage pain" They responded to my formal complaint with advise telling me to seek the exact course of action and surgery that I previously requested in writing. They have outright lied a handful of times.

Dr. Raslan did an outstanding surgery on me. He was very polite and thoroughly explain the procedure to me. I have had a lot of doctor visits regarding my back and Dr. Raslan is the only doctor that actually got down on his knees to tie my shoes. That have NEVER happened before. Excellent bed side manner. I HIGHLY recommend him.

My experience under the care of Dr. Raslan and his team was superb. He explained to me before surgery what to expect which alleviated my fears and allowed me to take the correct decision. I recommend him strongly, hard to find a doctor with compassion and knowledge nowadays.

Dr Raslan lied to me. He showed me a 3-D picture and said it was not a matter of "if" I needed surgery but "how soon". After the surgery and a non recovery time as I am now disabled. Those very picture were never found. He was not truthful in the risks and tried to blame septic shock on my sinus surgery 6 full months before his surgery.

Dr. Raslan listened to me when other doctors did not believe me. Others would dismiss my as irrational or even a crazy patient. But , he believed me and worked hard to find the problem and help me. I am pleased with Dr. Raslan and his team.

Marvelous, compassionate. I have seen Dr. Raslan for a problem with my facial pain. Other doctors told me it is not treatable and I have to live with pain for the rest of my life. He listened and then gave me hope. This man is giving me my life back.

Cold, uncaring. Not willing to answer questions. Medical records do not accurately reflect my medical course. He was always rushed and had the worst bedside manner of any doctor I've encountered. Argumentative at appts. I was hospitalized for 7 days after my neurosurgery and he never spent more than 15-30 seconds in my room on his daily rounds. My surgery by Dr. Raslan left me with nerve damage and I now have to self-catheterize for the remainder of my life. I regret every going to this doctor!!

Rude. Didn’t care about discussing my MRI’s w/ me. Cancelled an appointment without follow up care. Just sent me to pain management not another neurologist for the brain herniation I have. Wrote fictitious notes about my personal injury that were so far from the truth & very damaging, & now has denied that any of the doctors in neurosurgery see me for my brain herniation increase. I’ve been suffering for 3 years, & without knowledge that my medical chart note was so minimizing & wrong.

I had the first step of my spinal stimulator last Friday and I am extremely happy with the results so far! Anxiously awaiting the permanent install of my stimulator this coming Friday. Dr. Raslan is a highly qualified and highly knowledgeable neurosurgeon that I would recommend to anyone wanting this procedure done! For me it seems to be working and I am extremely happy about being out of constant lower spinal pain. Dr. Raslan is a miracle worker in my mind! Thank you Dr. Raslan!

Worst experience I have ever had at OHSU. I have gone through two surgeries, both were not done correctly. I was misled could be considered lied to. He had a resident perform most of the second surgery without letting me know. Then tried to justify, and cover this up. Now because of improper procedure a third surgery is required. Don't waste your time with the OHSU customer concern or the risk management department. They are only concerned about covering their hospital & doctors!

Dr. Raslan is extremely rude. I will never see this man again. At first he was great but then he completed a surgery on my lower spine and there were issues with the surgery from day one. First off the surgery that was supposed to take five hours to complete took 13 hours and no one bothered to do little things like apprise my husband of anything that was going on. I had major blood loss and only found out the next day when I had to receive blood
