I am currently a patient of Dr. Shatla and he is by far an amazing doctor. I never feel rushed with him, he always listens and puts me on the medication that I even suggest might help. He is so nice and always has a smile on his face. His front office staff is always funny and delightful!

As a current patient suffering from the effects of a Gullian Barre attack in 2011, I have received medication, an EMG, and a diagnostic workup from the Dr. His diagnosis and treatment plan for infusions of immunoglobulin was recently confirmed by Upstate Medical in Syracuse, NY. I have found him to be thorough but quick. He has been prompt, cordial and cheerful in all of our meetings.

Unprofessional, rude, non-caring and no diagnostic skills. Did not really evaluate me and was quick to knock any other doctor I had seen. No help at all. I will go out of Utica from now on.

I saw dr Shatla only a few times for headaches and cervical pain in my neck. Wasn't impressed with him. The office wreaked of a garlic bulb which made me feel ill. When he walked into the examining room he smelled just as bad. He prescribed a medication for the headaches without checking the medication first. It caused headaches. So I didn't take it. He seemed too rushed and talked too loudly. This was annoying. I decided not to go back to him. I also found him to be rude.

Not very impressed with Dr.Shatlas bedside manner. He is quick through his examinations and didn't seem to LISTEN to the things I was telling him, he seemed disinterested or maybe rushed. I was his patient for a few years because he was the only Neurologist my insurance would cover. I will never go back to him again.

Saw Dr. Shalta for an abnormal MRI 3 years ago and my symptoms returned. He did not perform a full neurology exam (even though his office note said that he did). He sent me for another MRI. I did not hear back from him after a week so I called his office. His staff called me later that day and said he needs to follow up with you soon I paid a $60 copay for him to walk In and tell me I'm fine and run out of the room. No explanation and moved right on to the next patient. Didn't get to ask one ?
