Office in general
The first thing when entering the office there was no greeting, nor any smiles. The wait time which was at least, two and a half hours for a routine eye exam is ridiculous. I thought the doctor was pleasant but don't really know her being this was my first time there. Two days after being there I had an eye infection. I don't know if I'll go back because I just can't see wasting that much time sitting in an office.

Her office runs smooth as glass, all test equipment works and there are private exam rooms (yes, you would these are a given), professional staff, spotless premises. Dr. Wakil is professional and accurate, explains things well. She's doing my cataract surgery and I look forward to seeing again.

She’s great but the wait times are ridiculous. Be prepared for 2.5 -3 hrs for just an annual eye exam. Seems to me they need better office Management and better appointment scheduling.

Great eye doctor, did both of my cataract surgeries. That said, the wait times and appointment difficulties are ridiculous (she has cancelled appointments on me several times). If you go here, plan on spending the entire morning or afternoon.

Most of staff is caring and definitely try their best, however, Dr Wakil has no bedside manners, borderline rude, abrupt and non caring. Schedules so many patients for surgery that the day of turns into a factory plant.

I think Dr. Wakil is an excellent physician. She has been my eye doctor for some time, and recently performed cataract surgery on both of my eyes. I trust her judgment and like her manner. My only caveat is that it takes an inordinate amount of time to complete an appointment in her office. I know that eye doctor appointments generally take some time because of dilation, etc. However, I once spent 5 hours in her office waiting to be seen, and while that was an outlier, 3 is not unusual.

Staff goes out of their way to make your visit as pleasant as possible-who likes dilating drops anyway? Could work on the wait time, but while being seen, I never felt rushed. She does a very thorough job in explaining concepts and answers questions fully. If she's unsure of something (rarely) she'd ask the opinion of another specialist related to the problem and will follow up with you. If you're expecting to be in and out in thirty minutes go somewhere else, but Dr. Wakil is worth the wait!

I have been seeing Dr Wakil for 8 years. I like her very much; she has a straightforward manner, is a clear communicator. I do NOT like the wait time. Only once have I waited less than an hour beyond my scheduled appointment time. I have learned I must allow 2 1/2 - 3 hours for any appointment. Each step (seeing each technician, having pressure measured, etc.) involves additional wait time. Having to devote an entire morning or afternoon to seeing one doctor is excessive!
