The labs that I faxed a few days before were lost. The doctor had to look at my phone and enter labs on the computer. Almost my whole appointment was taken up with her doing this. Extremely inefficient.

Excellent experience.

This doctor was text messaging on her phone while asking us questions. I've never seen a doctor do that before. The doctor seemed very dismissive of my condition, and even questioned why I had an SCL-70 test done for sclerdoderma in the first place. She had us convinced that scleroderma would not cause my symptoms of dizziness, orthostatic hypotension, etc. Yet my test came back POSITIVE with an even higher value than last time, and a simple Google search informs us that organizations like NIH, Mayo, etc....indicate that scleroderma CAN ABSOLUTELY cause my symptoms. It's pretty clear to us that this is not the doctor is not going to be helpful in solving my complex medical condition. I am working with my provider to find a new specialist.

The wait time to get in is very long, as with most rheumatologist, so the expectation is the wait is worth it. However, in my case I was pretty disappointed. The doctor did spend a lot of time talking to me but not listening. I don’t feel as though she understood what I’ve been going through and she failed to ask questions. If we were talking about a condition that is easily diagnosed that would be acceptable. In a situation where symptoms are so important to the diagnosis I don’t feel like we made much progress simply because she wasn’t interested in what I had to say.

Doctor seems to care but does feed the money hungry Ou health with unneeded test and treatments. Ou health knows exactly how to extort the insurance companies for maximum profits! Any doctor affiliated with Ou medical cares mor3 about the money than the patient.

This was my first visit with Dr. Thanou. I have been seeing a rheumatologist for over 10 years now. Dr. Thanou was very professional. She went over all of my past medications and chose a regimen that she thought was the best for me. She spoke with me for over 30 minutes about my issues. I also loved the fact that you take labs and xrays in her facility and they are super quick. I would definitely recommend this 5 star doctor!

Dr. Thanou was kind and patient. She spent a lot of time with me and really tried to give me an accurate diagnosis and a medication that would work for me. I would highly recommend her and I am an RN and a very hard sell!!!
