My mom went to Dr. Whelan with a health issue that other doctors couldn’t solve. She went down every avenue until she discovered the problem. And there was an easy treatment. That was 25 years ago. My mom is alive today because of the incredible care Dr. Whelan has given her. When Mom needs a referral, Dr. Whelan handles it immediately, and if the referred doctor says it will take months to get an appointment, Dr. Whelan jumps in and helps move it closer. She and her staff respond to phone calls promptly, and there are MANY occasions when Dr. Whelan has called my mom between 6:00 and 8:00 PM to follow up or to see how she‘s doing. I’ve accompanied my mom to a number of her appointments. Without fail, Dr. Whelan walks in, smiles, and asks my mom how she’s doing. She HONESTLY cares about my mom. You can’t hide sincerity and compassion, and Dr. Whelan has both. She’s more than a doctor—she’s my mom’s advocate.
