Dr. Aishah Covington Simms, MD

I've been seeing Dr. Simms for over 6 years, since I moved to FL. I was never much of a fan of the office due basically to their odd hours, but everyone was always kind. I loved that there was a lab right in the office which made things convenient. However, over the past few years, it has been increasing difficult to get anything done. Now that I'm older, I need additional services I may not have needed before. I've also moved further away from the office so the lab is no longer as convenient since I live on the southside of town. Working with the staff via the portal takes MULTIPLE attempts. MULTIPLE conversations and then follow up phone calls most of the time. Dr. Simms and I have discussed my weight loss on MULTIPLE occasions, but she keeps forcing me to come in to 'discuss' medication. Then I was referred to a bariatric surgeon out of the blue. Highly disappointing. Not sure what changed, but I won't be back.

It takes three visits to discuss any one issue without a resolution. I asked for birth control, the same one I have been getting from previous doctor for 12 years. I had to schedule a visit to 'talk' about the birth control. Then I waited for 4 weeks. On the fifth week of waiting for the birth control to 'arrive' at their office, they referred me to some other OBGYN to start the process all over again. The last visit I went to at this office, I arrived 30 min early to my appt. I waited more than 45 min past my appt time with no explanation or apology as to why I was still waiting to be seen. After 50 min the doctor comes in and says, oh sorry you had to wait fill out this paperwork and we will get you what you need. The paperwork was clearly supposed to be filled out by the office, not the patient. Dont bother with this office. Sure to disappoint.

She is caring and compassionate and listens!
