disregarded the 1 star reviews without any words. I had a great experience today. Very nice, thorough and explained everything. Couldn't ask for a better ENT

My elderly mother had a horrible new patient visit today!! My Dad, who is on a walker, took her and had a hard time getting in with the heavy doors. No effort was made to help by the receptionist. My Mom was called in within 15 minutes. Dr Akta looked in my Mom's ears and said she had some wax and went to get an instrument saying she would be right back. She comes back 30 minutes later!! Apparently she had forgotten about my Mom, because she could hear the Dr. helping other patients. My Dad checked with receptionist who had no concern whatsoever. So my father called me in worry as other patients had come and gone. I had to call the office to find out what was going on with my Mom! The doctor claimed she was waiting on an instrument to charge. Why make up excuses!? Just own it and apologize! You forgot about my 81 year old mother and you were anything but accommodating to my father on a walker. Needless to say we will not be returning! Should have researched her horrible reviews ahead.

She’s absolutely terrible! I paid $800 for her to lecture me about not following up with her on a previous issue TWO years prior. She had me in tears lecturing me over and over again and finally never got the help I needed for the issue at that time. By the way, I confirmed with her office staff this time after her lecturing me that I didn’t need to follow up from the appointment. I had issues with her in previous appointments too. I’ve learned my lesson and will never go back to her again! Extremely unprofessional and should not be able to practice the way she treated a patient!

He spoke at my husband and I like we were not there. He basically had the conversation with himself! We were also denied my son’s results unless I made another appointment. We had no intentions of returning to see him.

Diagnosed the problem, and would not treat. Ended up in the emergency room. The ER staff was concerned. She appeared to be nice. However, she did not address my concerns, and would give me antibiotics to clear infection. She over utilized testing, and did not keep her word. I retrieved a copy of her Doctors notes for our visit, and they did not reflect anything, that her and I discussed during my visit.

Horrible bedside manner. My son is 3 and she did not speak to him besides to tell him to open his mouth. He is very skiddish about doctors so anytime going to the doctor is a stressful time for him. He was so good and she never introduced herself to him or talked to him like the patient. On top of that she was condisending stating how we don't know a baseline because of my lack of follow up. I will never go back to her. I'm shocked that she is even a parent which is why I chose her to begin with
