Dr. Alan Akira, MD

Dr. Akira really listened to me. He gave me encouragement when no one else was. I was at the lowest point in my life when I met him and he put me on medication that helped me. He really cares about his patients. I look forward to our visits because it’s a boost of motivation. He is always rooting for you and is on your side. If you want a doctor that really cares and listens to you then I would recommend Dr. Akira.

Dr. Akira is truly something else. Instead of pushing pills like other psychs he listened to me and prioritized my health and ambitions. He gave me life advice and sat with me when times were hard instead of brushing me off as just another one of his patients. He truly saved my life. Now after my time inpatient, I am pursuing amazing things and I attribute that heavily to Dr. Akira. When we first met, all I wanted to do was die, but now I want a fruitful future. He helped me change and make habits and I am so grateful for all the work he did for me.

Dr Akira is one of the best of the best! He is extremely relatable and easy to talk to. He provides excellent examples. I've thoroughly enjoyed all of the "homework" tasks he's assigned to help me in my journey toward positive mental health and overall health. I was in a program where I was speaking with a variety of people, but I felt I received the most help from Dr Akira. Dr Akira I cannot thank you enough.

I was going through so much in my life and I was overwhelmed by my circumstances. Dr. Akira helped me so so much. He helped me to be able to stand on my own two feet with confidence and to realize my self worth. Because of Dr. Akira I look at life differently now.
