I'm not a patient, I'm a retired RN who had the pleasure of working with Dr. Hartman in the CVICU at Stonybrook Hospital between 1987 - 1993. I can't say enough good things about his skill as a physician and surgeon. He is not only THE BEST I've ever worked with, his calm demeanor and his ability to put patients at ease is unparalleled. I would hope that he might remember me, because I surely will always remember him. And I hope he sees my review. He mightily impressed me all those years ago. I wish him and his staff the very best. ??

I would hope the good doctor would see this. He will never remember us but I will never forget him. In 1999, my husband had a really serious heart attack. Most would not have survived. His heart was getting less then 20% of the blood it needed. St Catherine’s in Islip Long Island, transported him to Winthrop hospital. Dr Hartman did the surgery. I am in ahh of his skills but I will never forget his kindness to me and my entire family. I remember speaking with him and his telling me the idea is to never see him again. When my husband was in recovery he showed concern for my well being! I truly believe my husband has been here the last 22 years because of him. I would love to say “Thank You” to him. I am so grateful!

Dr. Hartman operated on my wife in October, 2018. He cared for her and my family as though we were his own family. He is a special, one of a kind, doctor all of need in our lives. He is the most dedicated, skilled, caring doctor that I have ever met. Thank God we were referred to him in my wife's critical need!
