Very good doctor
Dr kitchens was very thorough with his exam and found out exactly what was wrong always listened and never doubt me best Dr ever

My husband went in with severe abdominal pain and vomiting. Being there for three hours Dr Kitchens gave him two strong doses of pain medicine and three different types of medication for nausea and was going to send us home with “it’s just a virus”. I’m sorry but that much pain medicine is not needed for “just a virus”!!! I had to be an advocate for my husband and say no it’s more than that, give us a referral for a gastroenterologist. He gave us one KNOWING the dr doesn’t take referral from ER. So long story short it was his gallbladder that had a severe infection!!! Had the dr took the time to do his job instead of taking breaks and playing around and actually doing HIS job!!!! It would of saved some pain for my husband because we had to wait around longer to get back into a dr and get tests run that he could of done. He just wants his title and money and doesn’t care about the people he’s supposed to care for. He needs to be removed.

I spent 9 hours in the Marshall Medical Center's ER and he never came into the room to see me. I shared my feelings as I was exiting the hospital and he was sitting at the nurses station. After being discharged by a nurse I ask him as I was leaving why he wouldn't come into my room to see me. He replied, I will come now. I showed him my discharge papers and said, no thanks Dr., I am on my way out the door, but thanks for your unprofessional choice of not coming by to see me. I would never use this doctor and if I could post a review without leaving one star this is what I would do. My only comment is that he apparently is sitting at the nurses station, but not being a doctor. Simply playing on the computer as I was leaving. Not my kind of doctor for sure!!

He is a emergency room doctor at Marshall Medical Center South in Boaz. This doctor is extremely rude and non caring. If you come to the E.R in pain he automatically labels you a drug seeker. This doctor needs to either retire or be fired.
