Was referred to Dr Posner for a procedure and my appointment with him reminded me of why I didn't continue following up with him after a procedure he did for me 16 yrs ago. It's like he hears you (when he lets you speak) but doesn't actually listen to you, making you feel insignificant with both your healthcare and as a person.

TOP NOTCH DOCTOR
A TOP NOTCH DRAfter 20 years and different Doctors, I finally got a Dr that found what was causing all my esophageal/stomach problems. I had wondered if it was my hiatal hernia. An upper GI was done the day of my appointment with Dr Alan Posner, located in the Buffalo Hospital. After he introduced himself, he said he had bad news for me (surgery) and good for him (he’ll be doing it). I can usually go on my first impressions and certainly was right on this one. He was so thorough, drew sketches (said he wasn’t an artist which was true) but I got the “picture” of what had been going on in my body. We discussed problems I was having which were getting much worse in the past year. He explained things that were probably happening, which were. He showed my husband and I the scans, one of which was done in January this year locally which showed the stomach twisted and up into my chest area. He was surprised that none of the Doctors I had seen saw it. All the previous tests I had

Dr. Posner is a chain link in an unbreakable team that led to my complete recovery. Along with Dr. Hoffman, Dr. Flaherty, nurse Sponholz & the entire staff of the 15 north @ Buffalo General Hospital got me back on my feet after 3 surgeries: a hernia & 2 bowel surgeries. Dr. Posner went inside of me with camera @ found adhesions on my bowel. Got the air flowing & i was discharged on the 13th of January, a week after the procedure. Entire team deserves ********** (10 stars)!!!
