Great caring doctor
Dr. Spielberg is a wonderful doctor and I'm very grateful for his care. I went for a routine colonoscopy when I turned 45 and everything went well, I was nervous but the doctor was very reassuring and caring. I was recommended to get an endoscopy due to my mom's history of colon cancer, I was hesitant but listened to a professional. Everything went well, but it turned out that I had bacteria in my stomach that needed to be treated with antibiotics. I would never have known that if not for the excellent care of Dr. Spielberg. Very grateful and very happy patient here.

disappointing
He has a very curt manner. My husband has been to the hopsital before, for the same problem: violent projectile vomiting blood, then passing out. The Dr. does an endoscopy, finds nothing wrong, then discharges my husband with no diagnosis, only to have it happen again. We will be looking elsewhere.

I spent 3 days in the hospital with horrific stomach pain. I heard his last name more then he spoke to me. He didn’t do a test, he didn’t request a test of any kind. He was condescending and nasty. Absolutely horrific bedside manner. Told me nothing was wrong and that I could go home. I went to another hospital a few days later. With a gastroenterologist who not only treated me with compassion and respect. But found I had a horrible infection in my stomach that was causing my nerves to inflame and swell. Which intern was causing the excruciating pain. Within a few days on medication I felt like a brand-new person. I would not in anyway recommend Dr. Spielberg. Then he’ll send you bills that’s bordering on harassment. Has some strange man call that I felt like I was on the episode of Sopranos demanding that I pay my bill.

Rude, condescending and aggressive. Tried to convince my 95 yr old Dad to have a colonoscopy, even though no treatment would be possible because of my Dad's age and physical condition. When I asked him what the purpose would be in putting my Dad through such a tough procedure, he told me to shut up. He then went behind my back, at the hospital, and tried to talk my Dad into the colonoscopy while I wasn't there. My Dad's symptoms resolved on their own a couple of days later.

Dr. Spielberg has horrible bedside manner. He is very condescending and didn’t believe what I was saying to him. I brought a family member with me and he was almost rude to her when she didn’t understand what he was saying. The receptionist got my name wrong on the phone and the office itself is small and gross. They wanted me to come back and I refused because of the way this doctor is, I would never trust him.

While I believe he is a knowledgeable doctor, he is simply too hard to communicate with. Very hard to get a definitive answer or plan of treatment. He seems to doubt previous MDs evaluation when I brought my records. Can be condescending.

While his staff are kind and reasonable, he is a horrible person, he spent the first 2 visits trying to determine the reason I'm on disability (which I am for a large number of reasons none of which had to do with the large amount of blood that I had expelled shortly before my first visit). And during my last visit I said I was still in as much pain as I had been before seeing him and his response was to tell me to come back in a month, pay my co-pay again, for no reason. He did not try to help
