Dr. Alan Tuckman, MD

The most annoying part of the visit that I had was to wait over anHOUR to be seen. I had to ask about the wait time. The wait time was absurd.

Everyone I dealt with from the front desk check in to Dr Tuckman and check outswere very competent and professional. Everything was explained in a way I could understand.

Knowledgeable in diagnosis, treatment and post surgery care

Dr Tuckman is very, very professional and through. He has always diagnosed my issues and provided care and resolved my issues.

I think he is working on improving his bedside manner. He takes more time to answer questions and ask how I’m feeling.

Dr. Tuckman has always been fantastic in treating my ankle problems and I highly recommend him.

He explained everything to me. I had already seen 2 emergency rooms and 3 Drs for my pain but nobody gor to the bottom of what wa going on. I was so relived to see Dr Tuckerman. Thank you

I had a bunionectomy done in January of 2023 so I’ve given it plenty of time to heal . I’m active with hiking and the outdoors. Dr tuckman asked me at my 6 week appointment wen I was getting my surgical boot off if I was satisfied with surgery ? How I would know if my surgery was successful after not even wearing shoes or boots I have no idea. So after 13 months I still have the burning and pain I had prior to surgery. Not happy with my surgery and consider it a waste of time .

Dr. Tuckman was very pleasant but serious. I have only met him once but he presented a plan of care which will but discussed in more detail before surgery. I didn’t know what to expect and was nervous but he did put my mind at ease with his personal confidence. I know he is very experienced and practices with a very reputable group. I expect I’ll have good results.

Dr. Tuckman quickly diagnosed my problem and gave me appropriate exercises to correct the problem.

Dr. Tuckman spent a great deal of time explaining in ways my husband and I could understand the issues with my foot. He was prepared for the visit. I like that I have met all members of his team.

I would definitely recommend Dr. Tuckman to anyone who is considering foot/ankle surgery. He explained procedures (3) I was having, what to expect post-operative and activities I was able to do. He was both professional and personable. My husband and I were both pleased with his care.

Yearly check on right ankle replaced in 2017. It is doing great. Also check of left foot for severe arthritis.

If you’re looking for a good foot surgeon, I can recommend Dr. Tuckman. Just be sure you do your homework and ask very specific questions regarding your procedure, other options, recovery instructions, recovery time, percentage that do not get good results, etc.. I’ve had two procedures and both times there was a lack of communication from him and his staff in all areas. I was last ensured that having a fusion would GUARANTEE no future pain but I was not told that a small percentage of patients will not have a complete fusion.

Dr. Tuckman was straight forward and explain how my issue was caused and what needed to be done to correct it. Which I greatly appreciated. I did not have to come up with questions, he anticipated them. He explained everything. The only thing That could have improved the consultation would have been if he had brought up my X-rays and showed me the areas of concern. I have already recommended him to my neighbors. I have seen other foot Drs who where down right patronizing. You don’t learn anything from them. They also did not take the time to look at my foot issues as a whole and only treated the most pressing issue. Dr Tuckman considered my whole history when making his diagnosis. He also gave me treatment to help prevent the same issue happing to my other foot/ankle.

He was extremely friendly and personable. He talked to me like an adult and not talking down to me at all (I’ve had many a doctors do this to me previously). He explained everything well and went over all of the steps for recovery and how it would work from here on out.
