Dr. Albert Nassir, MD

I had habitually high blood pressure throughout my otherwise normal pregnancy. Dr. Nassir always made my appointments feel rushed, but I trusted if my blood pressure was dangerously high, he’d be proactive and that I was overly worried as a first-time mom. Fast forward to my 38-week check-up. He casually mentions I need to go to the hospital to be “monitored,” for a bit, as soon as I arrived in the ER, they told me I had to have my son ASAP or I could have a stroke or seizure. I had pre-eclampsia and what ensued was a completely avoidable, life-threatening, traumatic and frightening birthing experience for me and my entire family because Dr. Nassir waited dangerously long to address the issue. He never explained a thing to me. His negligence jeopardized both my life and my sons’. The day my baby was born was one of the worst of my life. A more concerned, involved and caring doctor would’ve provided a totally different experience.

I went to Dr. Nassir on my first prenatal visit. He did not offer any information, he barely looked at my chart and I had to mention certain things in my blood work for him to notice. He seemed bored and I felt like I had to ask a lot of questions in order to get any information. At some point I thought it would be easier to just look up my questions online. I didn't feel comfortable and I felt awful and sad that my first prenatal visit went this way, very unsupportive.
